Countersong

Ok so, I was in a campaign playing as a bard, and I was being enchanted by another bard. Smart bard being that I am, I used countersong. The following round the dm says that he changed the song, so I had to use another bard music. I was under the impression that it blocked against all sonic, or musical effects on its duration, but the dm says it only works against one specific song.

You are right. You do need a new Perform check per round, though.

Gray Mage is correct; you can keep a Countersong ongoing.

I am, however, confused how you were able to start the Countersong in the first place. If the enchantment had already begun, why were you able to start the Countersong?
