how would you advance factotum into epic levels? i just need another 3 since we're playing a 23rd lvl campaign.

With a prestige class? More Inspiration? More Arcane whatchacallits?

Following on how it breaks the turn economy, I think by that level it just says , ya know what I use my inspiration points to just inspire you to switch sides instead of being killed.

I'd skip the last level of factotum and go factotum 19/warblade 1/swordsage 1/crusader 1/cloistered cleric 1 (for the nice domain abilities).

Since there is no epic progression; dip into whatever seems interesting. Taking Chamaleon isn't a bad option. Polymorph into human (if not already) chaos shuffle a 1st level feat to able learner (if not with it already) chamaleon x.
Get couple of binder levels?

Here is what I do to make epic progressions for classes without them. You take the first 5 levels and look for a pattern amongst them.

Inspiration: An Epic Factotum continues to accumulate Inspiration points, however they no longer gain additional uses for it. At 22nd level, and every 2 levels thereafter, the Factotum gains an additional point of inspiration.

Arcane dilettante (Sp): Your maximum spell level your spells continues to increase up to 9th level, however you no longer gain additional uses of it. At 21st level you can now cast 8th level spells and at 26th level you can now cast 9th level spells.

Bonus Feat: At 25th level and every 5 levels thereafter you gain an epic bonus feat from a list that I am too lazy to actually make.

Arcanist's progression is pretty good.

Arcanist's progression is pretty good.

I'm still sure that someone else could do better. I don't really care for the Factotum and playing an Epic one just seems rather weird to me since most people just PrC out of it before it even gets to that point, hell most builds involving the Factotum don't even account for it's capstone :smallsigh:

Oh man. The blasphemy there.
True, most factotum builds Prc or multiclass out around 9
But if going into epic, then things have more room to work with.

In general, it's almost never worthwhile to take an epic progression of a class. It's almost always better to multiclass either into another base class or a PrC. But if you really want an epic progression for factotum...

Personally, I would just use the same criterion as their class skill list, here.
