Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Stellar Adept.

Armor and Weapon Proficiency:
The Stellar Adept gains no new proficiencies in either weapons or armor.

Gift from the Stars (Su):
As a move action, a Stellar Adept can create a semi-solid blade composed of pure positive energy, distilled from the stars above. The blade is identical in all ways (except visually) to a bastard sword of a size appropriate for its wielder. For instance, a Medium Stellar Adept materializes a Medium Starblade that he can wield as a one-handed weapon or two-handed weapon, and the blade deals 1d10 points of damage (crit 19-20/×2). Stellar Adepts who are smaller or larger than Medium create a starblade identical to bastard swords appropriate for their size, with a corresponding change to the blade’s damage. The wielder of a starblade gains the usual benefits to his attack roll and damage roll from a high Strength bonus.

The starblade can be broken (it has hardness 10 and 10 hit points); however, a Stellar Adept can simply create another on his next move action. The moment he relinquishes his grip on his blade, it dissipates. A starblade is considered a silver magic weapon for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction, without the usual -1 to damage rolls that silvered weapons usually suffer.

A Stellar Adept can use feats such as Power Attack or Combat Expertise in conjunction with the starblade just as if it were a normal weapon. He can also choose starblade for feats requiring a specific weapon choice, such as Weapon Specialization. Powers or spells that upgrade weapons can be used on a starblade.

A Stellar Adept's starblade improves as the wielder gains higher levels. At 3rd level and every two levels thereafter, the Stellar Adept gains a cumulative +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls (+2 at 3rd level, +3 at 5th level, +4 at 7th level, and +5 at 9th level).

Even in places where magical effects do not normally function (such as within an antimagic field), a Stellar Adept can attempt to sustain his starblade by making a DC 20 Will save. On a successful save, the Stellar Adept maintains his starblade for a number of rounds equal to his class level before he needs to check again. On an unsuccessful attempt, the starblade vanishes. As a move action on his turn, the Stellar Adept can attempt a new Will save to re-materialize his starblade while he remains within the magic negating effect.

Stellar Purity (Su):
The Stellar Adept is immune to all poisons and diseases (supernatural or otherwise).

Stellar Strike (Su):
As a move action, a Stellar Adept of 3rd level or higher can imbue his mind blade with destructive energy. This effect deals an extra 1d10 points of damage to the next undead or evil shapechanger target he successfully hits with a melee attack. Unlike the rogue’s sneak attack, the stellar strike is not precision damage and can affect creatures otherwise immune to extra damage from critical hits.

A starblade deals this extra damage only once when this ability is called upon, but a Stellar Adept can imbue his starblade with energy again by taking another move action.

Once a Stellar Adept has prepared his blade for a stellar strike, it holds the extra energy until it is used. Even if the Stellar Adept drops the starblade (or it otherwise dissipates, such as when it is broken), it is still imbued with energy when the Stellar Adept next materializes it.

At every other level beyond 3rd (5th, 7th, and 9th), the extra damage from a Stellar Adept’s stellar strike increases as shown on the Table above.

Ray of Twilight (Sp):
At 4th level, a Stellar Adept can, as a standard action hurl his Starblade towards a certain direction. The blade takes on the form of a white bolt of lightning, traveling in a line of up to 100 feet plus 10 ft. per Stellar Adept level.

On contact, the bolt deals 1d6 per Stellar Adept level, unless the target makes a successful reflex save (DC 10 + Stellar Adept level + Stellar Adept’s Wisdom modifier). Against a undead or evil shapechanger, the bolt deals 2d6 per Stellar Adept level and may choose to add his Starblade’s enhancement bonus to the save DC in place of his Wisdom modifier. Against an object or construct, this bolt only deals half the damage normally.

After using this ability, the Stellar Adept cannot use his Stellar Strike for 1d4 rounds, but still may manifest his starblade as a move action (or free action with Sudden Blade (see below)).

Curative Touch (Sp):
At 6th level, a Stellar Adept can cure a single willing target he touches of all poisons or diseases (magical or otherwise). The Stellar Adept can only use this ability three times per day, plus another time per day per point of his wisdom modifier.

This removes any damage already dealt by the affliction, as well as any chance of a future effect. If used on an afflicted lycanthropic or similar target unwillingly, the target can make a will save (DC 10 + Stellar Adept level + Stellar Adept’s Wisdom modifier) to resist the curing of their affliction. This does not affect natural lycanthropes or other naturally born targets.

Sudden Blade (Su):
At 6th level, a Stellar Adept becomes able to materialize his starblade as a free action instead of a move action. He can make only one attempt to materialize the starblade per round, however.

Soothing Starlight (Su):
At 8th level, as long as the Stellar Adept is below half his total health, he has Fast Healing X while his starblade is materialized, where X is equal to his Starblade’s enhancement bonus.

Judgment of the Stars (Sp):
At 10th level, the Stellar Adept can call down destruction from the stars, once per day. As a full round action, the Stellar Adept can call upon the stars to strike a certain targeted location. The following round, it arrives; a cluster of shooting stars enters sight from the heavens above, shedding bright light like the Daylight spell. Upon striking something, the shooting stars function as per the Meteor Swarm spell, but all fire damage dealt is untyped and the spell-like ability has the Light sub-school rather than the fire sub-school. This spell-like ability cannot properly be used indoors or underground.
