the intent is to create a weapon with high damage output hense 3d6 and great threat range - coupled with a few class and feat abilities.

Intimidate +10 (competence)

(dmg 285)
Skill bonus (competence) Bonus squared × 100 gp
skill Focus +10 (competence) 10X10X100 =10000

Use-activated or continuous, Spell level × caster level × 2,000 gp
20th level caster, casting at 6th level as it is the lowest level that can be cast at for augment object.

Wraithstrike: 2 × (6)<20> × 2000, multiply the cost by 4=96000
Augment Object: 3 × (6)<20> × 2000, divide the cost in half=18000

I... don't understand what this is. A custom item, using constant spell effects in addition to weapon qualities?
What are the final stats for this item. Is it some kind of falchion-esque sword, or is it just a large scimitar? Why use a large scimitar as the base, and not a falchion? This knocks the innapropriate size penalty down.

MW bonuses are not untyped. They are enhancement bonuses.

I'd start with a Jover base, from the Planar Handbook. 2d6 medium damage, 18-20 crit, if you want to build from there. A large platinum one would be 4d6 damage. Then again, swords are lame...reach weapons are where it's at!

Also, check your old thread for what people are saying about Augment Object and continuous Wraithstrike. The former is really unneeded, while the later is more our less illegal. It's kinda like a use activated sword of True Strike...not meant to use those rules.

If damage output is the intent, and it's already an exotic weapon, don't forget the Kaorti Resin.

How about a Spinning Sword? Or Drow Scorpion Chain? Swords with reach!

The great scimitar is an exotic weapon from sandstorm. 2d6 and 18-20x2 crit.

why not keep this in the old thread? because i can see the same tips coming on this one...

Give it the balanced enchantment. so you can use a bigger one. more dmg also keen to improve crits

put some wand chambers on it with wands of wraithstrike. making it continuous does not work, ever, on any DM
