Need Help with Bloodstorm Blade Rulings

I have a question about this ability from the ToB class Bloodstorm Blade:

Thunderous Throw (Ex): As a swift action, you can choose to treat your ranged attack rolls with thrown weapons as melee attacks for the rest of your turn. You use your melee attack bonus, including Strength bonus, feats, and so forth, to determine your attack bonus for each attack as normal, but you apply the standard modifiers for range penalties. Attacking into melee, through cover, and so forth incurs the standard penalties.

Does Far Shot work with a Thunderous Throw attack?

Edit: If I had precise shot, would the "standard penalties" include the -4 or no?

Far Shot would work as a throw qualifies as a ranged attack. The prerequisite feat Point Blank Shot also works with throwing weapons. If you had precise shot, you would not incur the standard -4 penalty though if you did not have such a feat I think you would take the penalties.
