Class Features
All the following are class features of the far shade prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Far shades gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.

Mysteries: At each level, a far shade gains an increase in caster level (and new mysteries, if applicable) as if he had also gained a level in a mystery-using class to which he belonged before adding the prestige class level. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If he had more than one mystery-using class before becoming a far shade, he must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining caster level and mysteries known.

Far-shadow summoning: When a far shade would use the Summon Umbral Servant mystery or the Army of Shadow mystery, all shadow elementals summoned gain the pseudonatural template (complete arcana).

Shadow familiar abilities: Far shades with the shadow familiar feat add their far shade level to their shadowcaster level for the purpose of advancing the familiar. If the far shade has the shadow servant class feature, their far shade levels may instead stack with their master of shadow levels for the purpose of advancing shadow servant. This, however, does not advance master's bidding.

Alien Blessing (Ex): A far shade who attains 2nd level gains a +1 insight bonus on all saving throws, but he permanently loses 2 points of Wisdom.

Psudonatural Familiar: Beginning at 2nd level, a far shade's familiar (or shadow servant) gains the psudonatural template in addition to the powers and abilities it would normally gain. This effect does not replace an existing familiar, the familiar has been taking on pseudonatural aspects as the far shade rises in level, and those characteristic become fully functional at this point. From now on, the far shadow's newly summoned shadow familiars (or shadow servant) already possess the pseudonatural template. If a far shade has neither shadow familiar nor shadow servant, this ability has no effect. This ability does not replace the dark creature template added to the far shade's shadow familiar.

Extra Summoning: From 3rd level on, a far shade gains an additional use of the Umbral Servant mystery and the Army of Shadow mystery. If they do not already know the Army of Shadow mystery, these additional uses only become function when the far shade learns the mystery.

Greater Far Shadow Summoning: Upon attaining 4th level, a far shade gains the ability to expend an additional use of Umbral Servant or Army of Shadow when casting either mystery to apply the half-far spawn template to the shadow elementals summoned.
