There are a plethora of undead in 3.5 and PF, and I was just wondering how one would go about making many of them. I know that the Create Undead, Create Greater Undead, Animate Dead, and the Summon Undead spells can all create undead, but they are all drawn from a specific set of tables.
Are there any other sources that give rulings for the animation of undead such as Slaymates, Angels of Decay and other undead that are not covered by the afformentioned spells? I know some are implied to be created by (un)Natural means, and others through divine intervention, I was just curious if I was missing a rulebook or some other tid-bit of information that would explain how to create more unique undead, as my current choices are getting stale. (Well, as stale as releasing a couple undead that create spawn and watching the devastation begin can get)
