Playing a fey/plant themed arcane hierophant. He's human, his background being a crotechety old man who has spent the last 50 years as a gardener in the fey court in the woods of southern lands of the linnorm kings. He's a barbarian at heart, has forgot more than most will know, and is only level 2 (druid1/wizard1). Oppositions schools are necromancy, enchantment, and evocation, not just for optimization purposes but also on ethical/personal reasons.
Between a war trained magebred riding dog wild cohort and rapid summoned augmented ashbound greenbound nature's allies, I don't really need to further optimize combat.
I am looking for spells that are useful for just, you know, being a dude. Spells that make life easier for me and other people, that in general improve living conditions for all creatures. Not just things like cure light wounds (yawn!), or even goodberries (which are the only thing he eats, really), but stuff like Magecraft or Plant Growth. The sort of small spells that, when used over time, can create big changes.
You know, like how a tree grows from a sapling into a great spreading oak, or how a few trees become a forest.
