Name of that forum game?

There was this forum game not from this site but it might have been played here. I'm trying to recall the name of it or find site that had rules for it.

Any way one person would run the game. That person would give the results for what people did. Everyone would type in commands like "Look" , "inventory", "Shoot stranger", "Exit South", "Put on hat", Stab self in eye with pencil" and so on.

Example
someone types in "Pick up gun"

Game runner might type "invalid command", "no gun to pick up", or "You are now holding a gun"

Anyone know the name of this game and the rules for it?

Choose Your Own Adventure, or CYOA for short.

To my knowledge, there's no rules unless the person running the game says so.

Well lets see. The two which receive the most traffic are the A BROB is For You (http://forums.spacebattles.com/forums/a-brob-is-for-you-for-all-your-roleplaying-need.60/) subforum of Spacebattles, and the Forum Adventures (http://mspaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?85-Forum-Adventures) subforum over on the MSPaint forums. The latter is relatively unique in that having the quest runner use/create images is the norm, with text-only affairs often explicitly called out as such in the thread title.

Smaller ones I'm aware of include:
The Touhou Project (http://www.touhou-project.com/) image board: As you may guess from the name, all of the stories here involve Touhou Project characters and/or places. Crossovers do happen, like a Green Sun Prince or 3.5 DnD Wizard crashing into Gensokyo, but aren't that common.

Questionable Questing: Spawned from the Spacebattles forum after an incident I can't remember, the main thing of note is that it includes a NSFW section for more adult quests.
