In a gestalt game, went sorc fighter and realized how good a spell storing weaopn could be fore me. Mostly an Evocation ind necromancy specialist, was wondering what targeted 3rd level or less spells would be the best to put in my rapier.

Vampiric Touch is usually the go to spell.

True. Right now I'm debating the prospect of force punch and a means of gaining reach. Because it sounds hilarious to me.

I don't know if it made it into PF, but in the 3.5 Spell Compendium was a 2nd level Sor/Wiz spell called "Combust." It did 1d8/level (max 10d8) fire damage with a successful touch attack. It offered a save (I think Fort.); if the victim made it, they merely took the damage. If they failed, the caught fire.

I have always thought that a good choice for Spell Storing arrows.

Another good one - again, not sure if PF has it - is Chain Missile, because leveld4+level damage to the target you hit, and a bunch of 1d4+1s to separate nearby targets, is always fun.

Afraid I haven't seen either of those on the PF list. Shame though, I like the idea of setting people on fire.

Ghoul Touch-Paralyze, targets nearby need to make fort saves.
Touch of Idiocy-DERP!
Frigid Touch-Decent cold damage + Stagger Target. No full attack for that guy.

In rough order of the ones I think are best, on down.

Vampiric Touch
Bestow Curse (3rd for Clerics and some others)
Slow
Frigid Touch
Empowered Ear-Piercing Scream
Suggestion
Empowered Touch of Gracelessness
Unnatural Lust (for the lulz)
Peacebond (if you can sneak up on them and weapon is actually sheathed)

Including your friends!

Vampiric touch is excellent, so are hold person and ghoul touch. Don't use slow, the only time that is useful is when you can target a bunch of people and spell storing doesn't qualify. Dispel magic is situationally useful here and generally useful otherwise, which matters for a sorcerer.

Charitable impulse (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/charitable-impulse) is at least as amusing as unnatural lust.

Frigid touch is an excellent choice if you have the rime spell metamagic feat.

Toppling spell and magic missile combo well for this purpose or otherwise.

Frigid Touch. I just rememberd my sorc side is a cold blaster. That ought to work quite well, think I'll be set between that and vampiric. Though my touch attacks kind of suck, or does the sword deliver them

I'd say bestow curse. It's a fun little thing for future madness.

I've always liked the idea of storing Blindness/deafness. Wham! And now you're blind!

Especially with:
An arrow/bow of storing,
Store Blindness,
levels in Rogue for sneak attack,
first shot from the shadows
and then all subsequent shots are sneak attacks too!

Best spell to me is Cure Serious Wounds. But I like to put spell storing on Shuriken and heal at a range. With the Quick Draw feat you can heal multiple times per round AND you don't need to prep heal spells.

Interesting, though I don't think you can put spell storing on ranged weapons? I was thinking up a way to make the spellstoring ranged weapon a ranged touch attack (holy water but with plain water perhaps?) when I recalled that.

Even if you can't make a ranged weapon spell storing (Edit: No rules exclude it, nor mention it in any way) then just make spell storing daggers instead. They still can be thrown, and you need not worry about a single d4 of damage when you're being cured 3d8+5 (minimum).

IIRC, Shurikens count as both, which is what leads in part to the Eager Warning Shurikens for ~500 gold that give +7 to init. They are delightfully exploitable.

Sudden maximized, sudden empowered, Shivering Touch. (frostburn)
(
3d6 dex damage is the base effect (18 +(3d6 * 1.5) = 23-45 dex damage ought to cover just about anything that is going to take cold damage or ability damage

I love how many non-pathfinder suggestions keep popping up.

@Ghoul Touch
The radius is 10 feet. And since it is a Fort save (and a poison effect at that) chances are you don't want to attack a front line fighter anyway. You probably want to hit a target in the rear/flanks, something like a Rogue or another caster.
If you hit a target on the flanks instead of the front line, you will cause them to either cluster or split to avoid the fumes and the Sicken effect.
Though I will concede, probably not best in a spell storing weapon and better delivered via Spectral Hand.

Not in 3.x, but the thread is Pathfinder-specific

A spell storing weapon allows a spellcaster to store a single targeted spell of up to 3rd level in the weapon. (The spell must have a casting time of 1 standard action.) Anytime the weapon strikes a creature and the creature takes damage from it, the weapon can immediately cast the spell on that creature as a free action if the wielder desires. (This special ability is an exception to the general rule that casting a spell from an item takes at least as long as casting that spell normally.) Once the spell has been cast from the weapon, a spellcaster can cast any other targeted spell of up to 3rd level into it. The weapon magically imparts to the wielder the name of the spell currently stored within it. A randomly rolled spell storing weapon has a 50% chance of having a spell stored in it already. This special ability can only be placed on melee weapons.

Interestingly a thrown spell storing dagger might work, though the phrasing and the melee weapon limitation makes me think it's most likely not RAI.
