[McBish]

Shea eyes focus on Elya and he hugs her. His mind doesn't seem like it is being pulled apart anymore.

[AmberVael]

Elya looks at the circle and holds Shea tightly, soothing his mind with her psionics.

[McBish]

The circle seems to be a variation of the one that can be used to create Elans. But Elya gets the sense that something is wrong, like a piece is missing, even though she hasn't seen a circle like this before.
Shea holds onto Elya and gives a fearful glance at the circle.

[AmberVael]

Elya shakes her head and casts Mage's Disjunction over the area with the circle.

[McBish]

The circle stops all glowing and having any sense of psionics.

[AmberVael]

Elya hugs Shea again.
What were you doing, Shea?
It is not an accusing question.

[McBish]

I was drawing, I wanted to see what it looked like.

[AmberVael]

Its okay, Shea. Just be more careful with the things you see around here.

I didn't... He holds back from finishing his sentance.

Elya smiles comfortingly.

[McBish]

I didn't see it here. I remember it.

Elya closes her eyes and hugs him, not saying anything.

[McBish]

Shea hugs her back. Elya what happened?

[AmberVael]

I don't know. I've heard of this type of thing before, but I have never done it myself. This was not correctly created, either.

I couldn't figure out what was missing.

[AmberVael]

Lets go upstairs, Shea.
Elya puts a comforting hand on his shoulder as she stands.

[McBish]

Shea stands up and sticks very close to Elya. He looks over his shoulder at the circle.

[AmberVael]

Elya leads him upstairs to the smaller sitting area next to the coffee shop.

[McBish]

Shea follows her and takes a seat in a chair. He looks down at the ground, like he is ashamed.

[AmberVael]

Its okay, Shea.
Elya goes and begins making some coffee.

[McBish]

Elya what was that?

[AmberVael]

Elya shakes her head.
It was an altered version of a ritual that changes your nature. It has alot of effects, one of which is a loss of memory.

[McBish]

It... He closes his eyes and tries to remember where he saw it before. It was in a room.

[AmberVael]

Elya waits for him to say more and keeps making coffee.

[McBish]

I was... lying down? There were men there. They were doing something. To me? He looks up confused.

[AmberVael]

Elya finishes making the coffee and brings a small tray over to the table with the coffee, milk, and sugar in their own containers.

[McBish]

Elya what were they doing to me?

[AmberVael]

I am not entirely sure.

[McBish]

How come I can't remember. He seems fustrated.

[AmberVael]

Elya goes silent again, wondering how she should deal with this. She pours a cup of coffee and begins adding milk to it.

[McBish]

I remember sitting in a room for a long time. And people came and... tested me?

[AmberVael]

Elya adds sugar and then puts it in front of Shea, then pours a cup for herself.

[McBish]

Shea picks it up and takes a drink. He continues to think.

[AmberVael]

Elya finishes fixing her coffee and sips it.

[McBish]

I sat in the room for a long time. Then Har... His voice trails off.

[AmberVael]

Elya reaches out to take Shea's hand. She smiles sadly at him.

[McBish]

Shea takes Elya's hand and reachs out to her with his mind.

[AmberVael]

I'm here, Shea.
Elya squeezes his hand.

[McBish]

Shea's mind seems awash with confusion, sadness, fear, and a little bit of anger.

[AmberVael]

Elya smiles.
Shea, I don't know much about your past, but don't let it stop you from doing what you want to do now.

[McBish]

What do I want to do? Who am I?

[AmberVael]

Elya hugs him.
You are whoever you want to be, Shea.

[McBish]

I just want to be... in control.

Elya smiles at him.

Elya nods and smiles.

Elya hugs him again and sits down in her chair.

[McBish]

Shea sits down and curls up in the chair, resting his head on the arm rest.

Elya ruffles his hair and smiles.
Why don't you just take some time to relax?

[McBish]

Shea nods and yawns and slowly starts to drift to sleep in the chair.

[AmberVael]

Elya picks out a book and begins reading.

[McBish]

Shea slowly starts to wake up in the chair.

[AmberVael]

Elya had apparently fallen asleep while she was reading.

[McBish]

Shea thinks for a minute trying to decide if he should wake her up or not. He figures he should let her sleep he goes out to the front of the store. He looks around a bit then sits behind the counter
He becomes bored and gets up to go and make himself a sandwich.

Remy gets up, having had nightmare after nightmare the past couple nights. He slowly heads downstairs, and throws himself into a chair, putting his head in his hands.

[Kyrian]

Remy gets up and heads back upstairs. He knocks on Elya's door.

[McBish]

Shea finishes making the best sandwich in the world. He looks at it and nods, trying to decide if he should eat it or give it to someone.

[AmberVael]

Elya's door is pushed open by the knock. She is not there.

Down in the library, Elya finds that she fell asleep at her books again, sighs, and begins putting them away.

[Kyrian]

"Elya, you in the building?"

[AmberVael]

Elya gives a sigh that can't be heard mentally. She finds where another one of her books goes.
Downstairs. The library.

[Kyrian]

Remy heads downstairs and looks around. Finding Elya, he looks at the ground.

"I'm...I'm sorry."

[AmberVael]

About what, Remy?

[Kyrian]

"Attacking you. Allowing Xemnas to use my pain against me..."

[AmberVael]

It is not your fault that someone possessed you.
Elya says this rather tiredly.

[Kyrian]

Remy sighs. "I guess you're right."

[McBish]

Shea comes out and offers Elya half of the perfect sandwich.

[AmberVael]

Elya smiles at Shea and takes half of the sandwich.
Thank you, Shea.

[McBish]

Shea nods and sits down and eats his half.

[Kyrian]

Remy looks around. "Elya..."

[AmberVael]

Elya sits down in one of the chairs and looks up at Remy.
Yes?

[Kyrian]

"I don't know...I've never....I've never felt this way."

[AmberVael]

Elya sighs and looks down at her sandwich.

[Kyrian]

Remy goes back upstairs.

[McBish]

Shea happily munchs on his sandwich. He considers becoming a sandwich maker for a living.

[AmberVael]

Thank Inari that is over with.
Elya picks up the sandwich and then wonders what made her feel this way all of a sudden.

[Kyrian]

((Ouch man, ouch.))

Remy sits down and sighs.

[AmberVael]

Elya sighs again and eats her sandwich.

[McBish]

Shea looks over at Elya when she sighs, and gets the sense that something is wrong. He hopes the sandwich will make everything better.

[AmberVael]

Elya finishes the sandwich and manages a small smile at Shea.

[Kyrian]

Remy starts thinking, about anything and everything, from rational thoughts, to irrational ones.

[McBish]

Shea smiles back, but still gets the feeling something is making her sad. He starts to figure out ways to cheer her up.

[AmberVael]

Elya stands and puts her last book back on the bookshelf.
I am going to Inari's. Do you want to come, Shea?

[McBish]

Shea nods and reachs out to take Elya's hand.

[AmberVael]

Elya smiles slightly and teleports them both to Inari's.

Elya and Shea appear in the downstairs library.

[McBish]

Shea smiles up at Elya.

[AmberVael]

Elya looks around and gets a little resolve.
I do need a break.

[McBish]

Shea nods, Do you want a sandwich?

[AmberVael]

Elya smiles.
That would be good, Shea.

[McBish]

Shea heads into the shop and starts to make a couple of sandwichs.

Elya takes out a book and begins reading.

Shea finishes the sandwichs and brings them over to Elya and offers her one.

Elya takes one and keeps reading.

Shea sits down next to her and starts to eat his sandwich.

Earin appears on the main floor and goes down the stairs. He smiles and takes a chair on the other side of Elya.

Shea waves to Earin, not really knowing who he is.

Earin takes Elya's hand and nods to Shea.
"Hey there."
Elya smiles, but does not look up from her book.

[McBish]

Shea looks at what is left of his sandwich and offers it to Earin without saying anything.

[AmberVael]

Earin chuckles and shakes his head.
"No thank you."

[McBish]

Shea shrugs and finishes his sandwich.

[AmberVael]

Earin smiles at Elya and tries to look into her eyes. She avoids him a little, intent on her book.

[McBish]

Shea finishes eating and takes his plate and goes and puts it back in the coffee shop.

"So where are you thinking, Elya?"
Elya smiles and puts down the book.
Somewhere tropical.

[McBish]

Shea comes back downstairs and takes a starts to look at the books on the shelves.

[AmberVael]

"Hmm... somewhere tropical. Where can we go that is tropical."
Elya looks down.
"Elya?"

[McBish]

Shea looks over at Elya and frowns, he already gave her a sandwich so he doesn't know what else to do.

[AmberVael]

I... I was thinking of going alone.
Earin raises an eyebrow.
"Are you sure?"

[McBish]

Shea decieds to stay out of this so he goes back to looking at the books.

[AmberVael]

Elya nods, and Earin smiles a little at her.
"Okay then. If you think it is best."
He kisses her on the cheek.

[McBish]

Shea reachs out to take a book, but frowns remembering what happened last time he looked through a book then goes back to sit next to Elya and Earin.

[AmberVael]

Elya smiles and relaxes.
So where should I go?
Earin contemplates.
"I hear the beaches of Katani are quite pleasant now."

Shea forgeting that Elya is sitting next to him checks his scraped elbow.

[AmberVael]

Elya, being the sort of person she is, had already noted Shea's elbow from the way he had been holding it. She does not really mind if he wants to hide it.
That does sound nice.
"You could check up on Eric. He's probably still up and going, the stubborn old dwarf."

[McBish]

Shea swings his legs while sitting in his chair. He tries to think of something to do.

[AmberVael]

Elya nods and smiles.
It would be good to see him again.
"When will you leave?"

[McBish]

Shea gets back up and goes back to the book shelves and starts to look at them again.

[AmberVael]

In four or five days, perhaps?
"So soon?"

[McBish]

Shea picks out a book and opens it up and starts to look through it.

[AmberVael]

Well I need a break now, not later.
"Point taken."

[McBish]

Shea flips through the book while sitting on the floor.

[AmberVael]

Earin smiles and hears a customer.
"I'll get it."
Elya goes back to her book as Earin rushes upstairs.

Shea tries to figure out what the book is all about.

Remy wakes up and looks around, almost having forgotten why he's seated there.

[Calpurnia]

Calpurnia enters the store, holding a turtle gingerly. "Um, hello?"

[AmberVael]

Earin, who is currently at the counter, smiles.
"Hello! How can I help you?"

[Kyrian]

Remy watches Earin, and the newcomer.

[Calpurnia]

"Um, I was given this, um, turtle and, um, it's apparently, um, magic. Do you, um, identify stuff?" She rubs the turtle's shell tenderly.

[AmberVael]

Earin smiles.
"We can."
He pulls a small lens out of his pocket and slips it over his eye. He examines the turtle with an Analyze Dweomer.

[Calpurnia]

The turtle is a very silly magic item indeed. When its name is spoken and it is directed at an opponent, it will tickle the opponent until told to stop. "Um, well?"

Earin chuckles and then laughs.
"Where did you get this?"

[Calpurnia]

"Um, the kender gave it to me. Um. Why?"

[AmberVael]

"Speak its name, and target it at someone. It um, it will try to tickle them until you tell it to stop."
Earin chuckles a bit more.

[Calpurnia]

"Oh. That's, um, very silly. May I, um, try it on, um, you?" She rubs the turtle's head, causing it to make happy turtle sounds.

[AmberVael]

Earin raises an eyebrow but smiles.
"I'd rather you not."

[Calpurnia]

"Oh. Um, alright." She begind to dig around in her belt pouch one-handedly. "Um, how much do I, um, owe you for, um, the spell?"

[AmberVael]

Earin shrugs.
"Ten gold will be sufficient."

[Calpurnia]

She places the requested amount on the counter. "Um, thanks." she says, leaving.

[AmberVael]

Earin takes the gold and puts it away.

[McBish]

Shea puts the book away and heads upstairs.

[AmberVael]

Elya goes into a meditation room. Earin waits for customers.

[McBish]

Shea spies on Earin while acting like he is looking at stuff on the shelves.

[Kyrian]

Remy gets up, and looks at Earin.

"Tell Elya I'm sorry I'm such a burden to her."

He heads for the stairs.

[AmberVael]

Earin notes Shea with the ease of long hours of practice, but shows no sign that he knows Shea is there. He narrows his eyes in concern at Remy.

[Kyrian]

"I attacked her the other day, when Xemnas invaded my mind. I went to apologize today...and it just seems I only burdened her."

[McBish]

Shea continues to spy on Earin for awhile.

[AmberVael]

"The problem with caring like Elya does is that you take so many burdens that it becomes too much. She wants to help you, but she knows that she has too many other things to do."

[Kyrian]

Remy nods sadly. "Thanks. And tell her thank you. And she can take all the time she needs, before she helps me. I know that I'll need the help for a long time, and I gladly welcome it."

[AmberVael]

Earin smiles a little.
"I'm sure she'll take you up on that."

[Kyrian]

"I didn't mean to add to her burden....it's just this is all so new to me.."

[AmberVael]

"Elya chooses to do this. It is not your fault that she is this way."

[Kyrian]

Remy nods. "You've got a wonderful lady, boss. Make sure you never let her get away."

[McBish]

Shea nods in agreement, which shows how good of a spy he is.

[AmberVael]

Earin smiles.
"If anything, I would have to try and get away from her."

[Kyrian]

Remy smiles, trying to hide the pain his eyes give away. "Take care boss, I'm going to try and get some sleep."

[AmberVael]

"Sleep well, Remy."

[Kyrian]

"I'll try....I'll try..." Remy heads upstairs, stopping once outside what used to be Vivian's room. He reaches out and touches the door, and with a sigh, heads down the hall and into his room. He lays down and falls asleep. Again, he is plagued by nightmares.

[McBish]

Shea heads over to Earin and stands in front of him.

[AmberVael]

Earin smiles.
"Hello."

[McBish]

Is Elya ok?

[AmberVael]

Earin nods.
"She just is under a bit of stress."

[McBish]

Ok. He turns around and heads upstairs.

[AmberVael]

Earin calls Grothok over and teleports himself away, leaving the... orc... to mind the counter.

Shea climbs into bed and goes to sleep.

The next morning Shea wakes up and heads downstairs.

Grothok is still at the counter.

Shea thinks for a minute, then goes to Grothok, I'm going out. Then he walks out into the streets.

Shea comes back in. He goes into the coffee shop and sits around. ((Off to get food.))

Remy sits up in his bed, soaked in sweat. The nightmares that plagued his mind still resound visually in his head. Slowly he gets up and dressed, before heading downstairs.

[McBish]

Shea gets up and wanders around the store some more.

[Kyrian]

Remy watches Shea a bit, but soon becomes lost in his thoughts.

[McBish]

Shea waves over to Remy.

[Kyrian]

Remy instinctively waves back.

[McBish]

Shea heads over to Remy. Are you sad?

[Kyrian]

"A little, kid. This is all still new to me."

[McBish]

Do you want a sandwich?

[Kyrian]

"You don't have to, but if you'd really like." Remy gives a small smile.

[McBish]

It will make you feel better. He goes and starts to make a sandwich.

[Kyrian]

Remy shakes his head and keeps giving a small smile.

[McBish]

Shea quickly comes out of the kitchen with a sandwich and gives it to Remy.

[Kyrian]

"Thanks, kid." Remy starts to eat the sandwich.

[McBish]

Shea nods, Told you it would make you feel better.

[Kyrian]

"Yea. Thanks."

[McBish]

Shea smiles pleased with himself. Then he goes back into the library and finds the book he was looking at before and starts to look at it again.

Gegiet teleports into Goldshadow's and heads down to the library.

[McBish]

Shea waves to Gegiet as he comes downstairs.

Shea turns back to the book he is staring at.

Elya comes out of the meditation room and smiles at everyone. She goes over to the shelves and looks through the books.

Gegeit waves to Elya then examines the shelves for a bit, the pulls out a book on psionic item crafting and sits down to read.

Shea smiles up at Elya as she comes into the room.

Remy looks up at Elya, and stands, looking towards the stairs/door.

Elya gets a book and begins reading.

Gegiet flips through the pages looking for some things he did not know about, and reading about anything new he finds. He then after a bit puts the book on a table and teleports off.

Shea looks around and sees Elya sleeping on a chair and finds a blanket and puts it over her. Then he heads out of the shop to go exploring again.

Lyrak and Kosuke enter Goldshadows', find a practice room, and go inside.

Shea walks back inside. He heads into the coffee shop and makes a sandwich.

Shea finishes his sandwich and wanders around the store for awhile.

Elya wakes up slowly, and smiles as she sees the blanket over her. She begins mentally preparing for her trip.

Shea waves hello to Elya as he is looking at the books on the shelves.

Elya waves back at him and puts her book on the shelf.

Did you have a good nap?

[AmberVael]

I did, Shea.
Elya pauses, and then moves to the section of books labled 'other.' She picks through them, looking for something.

Want a sandwich?

[AmberVael]

Elya smiles.
No, I'm fine, Shea.
She finds the book she wants. It appears to be a history/atlas type book.

[McBish]

Planning your vacation?

[AmberVael]

Mm hm.
Elya opens it and begins looking through.

[McBish]

Shea picks up the book he was looking at yesterday and sits in a chair looking over it.

[AmberVael]

Elya looks in the index after a moment, then flips to the appropriate section.

[McBish]

Shea flips through the book skimming over it.

[AmberVael]

Elya begins reading, while her player focuses on making an avatar.

Gegiet teleports into the library and looks over and looks at the books for something interesting.

Shea waves to Gegit.

Gegiet waves back and continues to search the shelves. He soon enough pulls out a book and starts to read.

Lyrak and Kosuke leave the training room and the building.

[McBish]

Shea puts the book away and wanders upstairs and out the door.

Later he comes inside and heads up stairs and climbs into bed.

Remy's player realizes that Remy's been standing in the same place for the last couple of days. With a sigh, Remy slides back down into his seat.

[McBish]

Shea wakes up and heads downstairs. He heads out the door and heads to Trog's to see if anything interesting is happening there.

Iames appears in the entrance, an exhausted Shea held in his arms.

[McBish]

Shea passes out.

((Iames feel free to dump him in bed. I need to sleep now since I need to be up in 6 hours.))

Iames gives Shea to Vivian, who puts him to bed. Iames disappears.

[AmberVael]

Vivian wonders when she came back, and hands Shea off to Grothok before disappearing. Grothok slings Shea over his shoulder and takes him to his room where he drops him on the bed.

Gegiet, who fell asleep, teleports out of ther building.

Lyrak and Kosuke enter and take one of the training rooms.

((Yeah you did. Basically Remy fell in love with her, then she got him to spend a large sum of money on her, let him 'pay off a debt' that she had and then she ran away))
Elya appears in the downstairs library and picks up her atlas/local history book and begins reading.

[Kyrian]

Remy notices Elya, but doesn't say anything.

Lyrak leaves the practice room, breathing heavily and sweating. Kosuke follows him out, looking as if he barely expended any effort at all.

Elya looks up from her book.
Did you find that journal I sent helpful, Lyrak?

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak blinks. Journal, journal... uh, I'm sorry, what journal?

[AmberVael]

Elya frowns a little.
Well... maybe it isn't the right word. But didn't Tehanu give you the book I gave her to take to you?

[Lord Iames Osari]

With the ioun stone? No, she didn't.

[AmberVael]

Huh. Maybe she just forgot about it. Oh well; you'll probably find it somewhere.
Elya carefully places a marker in her book and sets it down.

I'll be sure to ask her about it when - when I get back. He nods to her and heads out the door, Kosuke following behind.

Elya frowns again, sensing that something is not right. She sighs and tries to put it from her mind, but can't. With slow movements she picks up her book and opens it, but after a moment she puts her hands over her face and cries silently.

[Kyrian]

"Elya...are you ok?"

[AmberVael]

I need to stay here to help... but I can't. My heart tells me I should remain here, people need me, but I want to get away so much.

[Kyrian]

"Cheri...what good are you to any of us, if you get stressed out like this? You should go. Take a vacation."

[AmberVael]

I feel so selfish though. It just doesn't seem right. How can I claim to help others if I abandon them?
She instinctively moves her book so that it won't get wet from her tears.

[Kyrian]

"Don't. You obviously need time to yourself. Go take it."

[AmberVael]

Elya just looks at the floor.

[Kyrian]

"I can only speak for myself, but I know that I can wait for your help. You need a vacation."

[AmberVael]

But people here need me. Surely their needs are more important than something I can do without?

[Kyrian]

"And again Elya, what help can you truly provide if you're stressed out like this?"

[AmberVael]

I... but...
Elya clutches the holy symbol around her neck.

[Kyrian]

"In the end, cheri, I can't tell you what to do. I'm just saying, that you should take some time off."

[AmberVael]

Elya holds her symbol tighter and closes her eyes. A little golden light shines from it, and Remy can almost hear a murmuring voice.
