There was a third party d20 supplement that introduced a bunch of things to make melee characters better through something called tricks or something like that. Does anyone know why I'm thinking of, it's driving me crazy.

Closest things I can think of;
Iron Heroes, which offered manoeuvres of sorts
Arcana Evolved, which offered a proto-ToB manoeuvre system
Complete Scoundrel, which has something called 'skill tricks', that any class has access to by spending a couple of skill points on them.

Iron Heroes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Heroes) is a 3rd party book that gives a completely different set of base classes and generally works pretty well for melee. Of course, the Arcanist (Wizard of the book) still breaks the game and they don't stand out compared to spellcasters, but the work pretty well in isolation.

It was Iron Heroes, thanks a bunch. I got confused and kept thinking it was Iron Kingdoms...which it was not.
