Hello GitP! I was wondering if I could get some input into what items would compliment my character's weaknesses.

He is a Focused Illusionist 5/Master Specialist 10. My forbidden schools are Evocation, Enchantment, and Necromancy.

I know I'm going to get a +Int item and probably a +AC item. I'm a fan of quirky items, so feel free to think outside the box! 200,000g to spend! Thanks in advance!

You might want to consider Shadowcraft Mage from Races of Stone. It's a PrC that can literally make your illusions come to life.

Do you have the MIC? There are a lot of good items in there. I'd go for a Circlet of Rapid Casting with +6 int on it. That is like, 90% of the item you need. It's a bit steep at 54,000g, but its WELL worth it. Circlet lets you Quicken 3 1st or 2nd level spells per day without increasing the spell level. Just pick one you've prepped and fire away. Other than that, I wouldn't worry as much about AC. You'll want a big +Con item. +4 or maybe even +6. More HP are better than fewer HP. Always. Probably want Anklets of Translocation from the MIC, as well as a Third Eye: Clarity to shake off negative effects. A +1 Soulfire Mithril Buckler is 37,000g well spent as it gives you complete immunity to nearly all necromancy and undead.

Check this list for more ideas. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187851)

For lore reasons, I am restricted to Wizard and MS in regards to classes/PrCs. But yes, that is an awesome PrC for this kind of character.

I do have the MIC! I simply haven't looked through its massive number of pages... I'm rather thorough so I figured I would ask for some pointers before sitting down and going through the entire book ._. And while these items tend to be more expensive, I prefer a few items that have permanent effects.

I really like the idea of the buckler, especially since the campaign will have demons in it. I'm assuming making it out of mithril (no spell failure and no armor check pen) would mean that I wouldn't need Shield Proficiency?

Edit: Only just now noticed the link to that list - amazing, thanks.

You don't NEED proficiency. The only thing that non-proficiency gives you is the ACP penalty on...basically every d20 roll. But, a mithril buckler has an ACP of -0. So...you take a -0 on nearly every d20 roll and it affects you all of...nothing. You aren't using it for the AC...you are using it as a magic item slot you don't normally get as a wizard.

Oh, and I screwed up the price. Soulfire is a +4 bonus, so you'd need to pay 25,000g for the enchant + 1000g for the metal which is 26,000g, not 37,000g which is what a +6 mithril buckler would cost.
