Non-Animal Companions

What ways are there to have non-animal typed Animal Companions? The only way I know is the Vermin Animal Companions of PF.

Use some ability that combines your animal companion with a familiar, special mount, etc.
Be an urban druid from Dragon Compendium, who gets Aberrations, Vermin and Constructs on his list.
Take 1 level in Talontar Blightlord (Unapproachable East), applying a template to your animal companion that makes it a Plant.
Exalted Companion feat (Book of Exalted Deeds)
Spider Companion feat (Drow of the Underdarks)
Totem Companion feat (Eberron Campaign Settings)
Vermin Companion feat (Eberron Campaign Settings)


That's not counting abilities which work like animal companions but have different names.
