Looking for a song that sounds like I Wanna Be Like You from the Jungle Book

I was driving back from work today and heard a song on the radio that sounded a LOT like I Wanna Be Like You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEEPaYD5KZE) from the Jungle Book. The lyrics were quite different though. The dude was singing about being sad and lonely and he had nobody to love/nobody loved him.

I tried googling and got... well, not what I was looking for.
