Hey everyone! I was reading recently about two specific animal-focused builds that got me wondering if it was possible to create one for dinosaurs. Specifically the crazy cat lady (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=291826) thread with its many hilarious ideas, and then of course Bearington Bearman the Bearbearian (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140757), which included the following gem:

Anthropomorphic Bear Werebear Bear Totem Barbarian/ Bear Warrior/ Druid (taking a Bear companion)/ Bearlord, taking the Wild Cohort feat to get a bear companion. You're a werebear bear who owns a bear, rides a bear, commands bears, worships bears, and can get so angry he turns into a bear.

I also stumbled across the link to Bubs the Commoner (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7097263&postcount=38).

So I'm just wondering, what's the best dinosaur-build you can think of? I'm looking for any and all ideas for anything concerning dinosaurs. I've been looking for a while online and can't seem to find anything aside from Bubs that really pushes the concept. Preferably, the earlier the build comes online the better.

Well, for any animal-centric build, you basically have 2 good options. None of this is really particular to dinosaurs, but I'm not aware of any dinosaur-focused classes.
1) Druid
2) Wildshape Ranger

Druid 20 is good in itself. You grab Natural Spell, of course, and Wild Cohort to get more dinosaurs. You have full spellcasting progression with summons (more dinosaurs!) and lots of buffs that can be shared with your companion. Companion Spellbond is also a good feat. It's a simple, straightforward, effective build.

Wildshape Ranger will need to branch out. You have better BAB but basically no spells. Instead, you go Master of Many Forms 10 (to get Gargantuan size) and Warshaper (for natural weapon benefits) to get more melee combat-focused abilities. Take Natural Bond to improve your animal companion, though your AC will be taking a backseat compared to Druid 20. Hopefully your DM lets you take Improved Natural Weapon (bite or claw). You still take Wild Cohort, which is now better than your companion.

If you're in a world where dinosaurs are somewhat common, you can buy some, train them, and give them the warbeast template.
