Eh, we missed jetpacks, got the internet. Fair trade. I think the last couple of years have been pretty exciting, though.

Mostly terrifying in that it's going to be used for ill long before we can do anything concretely good with it.
I wonder. The specific research dealt with a conditioned fear response, but maybe you could actually attenuate phobias with a similar mechanism.
