so the cleric has a Hit Die of 8 -
the question is there any cleric base class that gets closer to D10 or D12
I know a couple PRC get the D10 D12 -
I would settle for Alternative Class Features, Class Substitutions, feats ect.. -and the like as long as it is not home brew, and is 3.0 or 3.5

To my knowledge there are no Cleric acfs or classes similar to Cleric that have a d10 or d12 HD. Your only option is PrCs.
Why do you care about the HD anyways? On average, the HP difference is only going to be 1 or 2 points.

Sorry, the Dwarf Cleric racial sub levels do switch you to a d10 for those three levels.

Bear's Endurance gives you the equivalent of a d12 hit dice. :smalltongue:

Also, Slow (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterTraits.htm#slow) effectively raises your HD by one step, but probably isn't worth it.

Other than those and other Con boosts, I don't think there's a way to actually increase your HD.

The difference between D8 HD and d10 HD is 20 HP at level 20, or two points of con. It isn't a huge difference. Invest inconstitution and con buffs. Why do you need it?
