I'm looking to create a humanoid version of the monster known to many as the displacer beast. I planned on using the race builder provided by Pathfinder but it's limited in terms of info.

Just make it humanoid.
I'd lose the trip ability (since its no longer a dog).
Starts with 4HD and a +3 LA. Just like in the MM 1.
+6 STR, +2 Dex, +6 Con, -6 Int, +2 Wis, +2 Chr
+3 NA, Darkvision 60 ft., shadow blend, scent, Bay

Uh... The Displacer Beast is a panther.

The only change you would really need to do is change the characteristics of the hit dice from Magical Beast to Humanoid (or Monstrous Humanoid), this changes its stats quite a bit.

You then change it from long to tall, which changes reach, mostly.

If you have access to Green Ronin's Advanced Bestiary (http://www.rpgnow.com/product/18896/Advanced-Bestiary?it=1), there is a template for combining 2 different creatures, IIRC.

Displacer Person
A displacer person is a ruthless stealthy humanoid whoses bones show as if he were starving. He has 2 tentacles with many-barbed end patches sprouting from his shoulders. Displacer people form disciplined groups and even large encampments that like to raid travelers and sell the stolen goods on the black market. Lone displacer people may also be found as spies, warning scouts or assassins. Many displacer people are rogues, experts, rangers, scouts or assassins, but other classes are not uncommon.

Medium Size
Dex +6, Con +2, Wis +2, Cha -2
+3 Natural armor
Displacement (Su)
+8 hide checks thanks to displacement
Resistance to Ranged Attacks (Su)
2 1d6 tentacles as secondary natural attacks
LA +4, +2 in high optimization groups; Pathfinder: +3 or +2
No racial HD
Usually lawful evil
Favored Class: Rogue
