This totally passed me buy until I saw the whole thing the other day.

Unlike the last 3 years, the people of TGWTG aren't doing a big movie. They did 5 shorts about the pitfalls of the internet. Think Twilight Zone.

Main Trailer (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/specials/39782-the-5th-year-anniversary-trailer)

Now to link you to each of the 5 shorts

Dragonbored (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/specials/40048-the-uncanny-valley-dragonbored). A short by Doug Walker. In this tale a "Skyguard" (Skyrim) addict (Uncle Yo) who favours the game over his job and girl recieves a shock when his in-game character, Jimbroth (played by Doug Walker) comes to the real world. Also starring Malcolm Ray and Rachel Tietz. 43 Mins

Dragged In (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/specials/40061-the-uncanny-valley-dragged-in-by-that-scifi-guy). A short by Leo Thompson (Sci-fi Guy). First contact is made and a linguistic expert must decode the alien's message. 13 Mins

The Reviewers (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/specials/40070-the-uncanny-valley-the-reviewers-by-brad-jones). A short by Brad Jones (Cinema Snob). Two friends decide to make it big as internet reviewers. Contains most, if not all, of the cast of Team Snob. 30 Mins

Internet Dating and Me (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/specials/40086-the-uncanny-valley-internet-dating-and-me-by-mike-j). A short by MikeJ. A mockumentary about a disastrous internet date MikeJ has. Only short to contain a reviewer playing their online persona. 15 Mins

Dark Side of the Internet (http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/specials/40094-the-uncanny-valley-welshy-presents-dark-side-of-the-internet). A short by Mat Williams (Welshy). A serious documentary on the dark power online anonymity conveys. The last online video Welshy will ever produce, as he is leaving the internet. 28 Mins

I liked most of these. What do you think?

Quality aside, Dark Side of the Internet didn't really belong. It was too much of a shift from everything else in the material.

I'm not much of a fan of this years special, since I was kind of hoping for something like Suburban Knights and Kickassia, but if I had to choose at I would say that I enjoyed Dragonbored the most.

Ah well, the universe was not created just for me and I hope everyone who is enjoying this years special is enjoying it to the max

Hagan did an epilogue.

Which I found hilarious.

Each TGWTG anniversary was worse and longer than the previous one (I didn't even finish To Boldly Flee because it was too long and not fun enough), so I'm happy they're trying for a different format this year.

I haven't actually seen any of the shorts yet, but I might. All of them are either from reviewers I follow or very short, so even if I don't like some of them, that's not much time wasted.

The Anniversary movies were entertaining to me because it was, for the most part, all of the sites critics getting together and making the very thing that they criticize and mock: A really bad movie. They knew the stories were going to be ridiculous and over the top, but they did them anyway just for the sheer irony of it all and to send home the point that a critic might know what makes a bad movie, but ironically enough cannot make a good movie to save their life.

Eh, it seemed harmless enough. I generally only watch the Nostalgia Chick, though, and she hasn't had material out in a while.
