Quick question, I searched online and couldn't find an answer.
For a spell like sonic weapon (complete adventurer) it adds 1d6 sonic damage to a single weapon for 1 minute/level.

If you cast an empowered version of this spell increase the d6 by 50% every time the wielder struck?

That's...actually a good question. If it says it adds "the sonic tag," probably not. Because the effect of the spell isn't variable. But if it says specifically that it makes the weapon do +1d6 sonic damage...I think so.

"The affected weapon deals 1d6 sonic damage with each successful attack"
So... Yeah? 1d6+50% on each hit?

By that reading, yes, it should apply the +50% on every attack. At least that is how it seems to me.

Probably. This spell is kind of weird. There are lots of other metamagics and class abilities that also have weird interactions with it. Lyric Thaumaturge for example can add extra damage to Sonic Spells, which can make this get silly fast depending on interpretation. Basically, this is ask your DM territory.
