Hi all.

Sorry if the contents are a bit naive. I recently started playing D&D 3.5 with friends and know only a little about the rules.

We are playing a home-made campaign that deals with the imminent end of the world by a huge storm. We are supposed to find clues and uncover secrets of the world and save it if possible. Cliche. I know. But it is fun so far.

I am trying to make a Seer that can help me uncover the secret history of the world to know what makes the storms possible. But I see no reason to kick ass and take true names while doing so.

So I came here to ask what powers shall I choose. I have little experience playing a Psion and I have read some suggestions off the boards, but need specific advice.

My current build looks like this:

Seer 5 Human

8 12 14 18 13 10

Skills : maxed

Conc
Gather Information
Know. Arcane/Psionic
Know. Planes
Spot
Listen
Psicraft/Spellcraft

Feats:

1. Overchannel Talented Psicrystal Aff.

3. Psicrystal Containment

5. Transdimensional Power

Powers

1. Vigour InertialArmor Forcescreen
2. EnergyRay Synchronicity
3. Psycho.Shelter ControlSound
4. SensitivityToPsyImpressions ClairevoyenSense
5. TimeHop DispelPsionics/Arcane

Any suggestions?

What utility powers are absolutely indispensable?
What damage powers should I choose?
What feats should I focus on?
What Expanded Knowledge powers should I take, if any?

Please suggest.

The campaign will last until Level 15 methinks.

Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at the 3.5 Psion Buildguide and Compendium (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=1036), the Psion Handbook (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=8342), or the New, Virtually No-Nonsense Guide to Psions (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=skifnivd54dv5g3ll4j1n3rqb4&topic=5343)? If not, I would start there.

Metapsionics aren't really worth it at such a low level, and Transdimensional power doesn't help you that much anyway.

hi. Thanks for the suggestion.

Of course I did go through the no-nonsense guide. The choice of powers is based on that list. I really want to know the minimal blasting + utility I need to have, though.

True. Should I take linked power instead?

EDIT: Although I must say that transdimensional power as I read it, is amazing! It allows me to skip all the force effects.

How many force effects do you imagine you'll encounter at level 5?

I think you mean how many creatures that are weak against Force effects.

Not a lot. That is why I will postpone it. There I agree. But it is an amazing feat anyway since it becomes extremely relevant as soon as you do encounter these creatures.
