I'm playing an enchantment heavy sorcerer, and I was planning to take Spell Perfection in a couple levels. I'm not sure which spell to pick though. So far my top two contenders were Hideous Laughter and Dominate Person.
If I heightened them to 7th level for free with spell perfection, with +8 from Cha, a doubled +2 from spell focus and greater spell focus, and the +2 from the Fey Arcana, the DC for either would be 31. Obviously, the long term benefits of Dominate Person would be better, but both spells are great at taking an enemy out of an encounter, and Hideous Laughter works against non-humanoids (only a DC 27 though, because humor doesn't translate).
Which would you pick between these? Are there any other choices I overlooked?
