View Full Version : [3.5] Gestalt Minibosses

I am in the middle of designing my first ever adventure for around level 10-11, and need advice for a couple of minibosses I'm throwing together. Try not to suggest too much optimization, they're most likely going to lose.

Stats for both: 18, 16, 14, 14, 12, 10, include level adjustment

Houserules: Pathfinder skills + Concentration

Miniboss 1 - Soulbow Sniper

The party will be fighting a few minions and monsters in a warehouse. Midway into the battle, this guy starts taking potshots at them.

Sneak Attack Fighter 9//Soulknife 5/Soulbow 4
STR 12
CON 14
DEX 18
INT 14
WIS 18
CHA 10
Skills: Stealth, Perception, Acrobatics, Climb, Bluff, Autohypnosis

General tactics: Snipe+Hide. If discovered, either keep Manyshotting or get in close and flank with something.

I mainly need help with feat selection.

Miniboss 2 - Wererat Swordsage

The party will be in the room where what they seek is, and there are also some rats. Hiding among these rats is this guy, who will fight on his own.

Halfling Wererat 3/Passive Way Monk 2/Fighter 8//Swordsage 13

STR 16
DEX 18
CON 14
INT 12
WIS 16
CHA 10

Skills - Acrobatics, Sense Motive, Stealth, Perception are the main ones

Feats - Adaptive Style, Combat Expertise, Improved Trip

Tactics - Unarmed combattant, focusing on Setting Sun and Tiger Claw. Hopefully can ambush the party by being a rat, getting a big whack in. From then it's using Giant Slayer stance to hit harder, Setting Sun Counters and Tiger Claw attacks, occasionally using the Spider Climb stance and/or Shadow Jaunt to retreat and renew his maneuvers.

Again, need help with appropriate feat selection, and which maneuvers to ready.
