Hey forum!

Wondering what people's favored simple weapons were. I've seen similar posts from CRB - but new weapons have been out on the market for a while. Is it still all about the long spear and morning star? Love for the heavy crossbow? Javelins making a comeback? Elven curved blade? I'll have to check but that one might not count...

Cheers!

The full list is here. (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/weapons#weapons-simple)

Aside from the Longspear's reach, Morningstar is typically the best general choice as it overcomes 2 forms of DR simultaneously. Daggers are useful in a grapple or if swallowed. Cestus is good on a monk for two damage types, enchantability, crit range and you still count as unarmed (thus you can use your monk UAS, fight while grappled/swallowed and even hold items.)
