I am going to be running a Pathfinder game soon and I wanted to introduce a Doppelganger character into the mix first as a NPC (A following guide character most likely) and then later as a PC.
This character will be lvl 3 (The Pathfinder Doppelganger is a CR 3 I believe) while the rest are lvl 1. This will be a simple 'Commoner' who is a guide for the area for them.
How should I have this character set up for a Pathfinder game? Should I just use Races of Destiny chart?
Should I use the idea in Pathfinder of a Monster's power should be determined by their CR not their Hit Dice which by RoD is 4 Hd and +4 LA
If I have too I will make it a lvl 4 to handle LA but I don't wanna use Hit Dice if I can avoid it.
