I'm a Barbarian Level 1 (Goliath Rager), Fighter 5, Dungeon Crasher.

This item reward is upto 15,000g and it can only be one item, I can't exchange this for a gem, or money.

If it matters, my dm let me have Righteous Wrath, and ruled that it does in fact let me use magic items and do anything that raging usually bans you from doing.

I have a flight mask already, a ready drink helm, healing belt, and a MW dwarven war pike.

Boots of speed fall within that price range. Nothing particularly fancy, but a solid option for your level. It does clock in 3000 beneath your price limit though, so it may not be optimal.

Whenever you have 12000+ and you are a melee (but this goes for a lot of other classes), you definitely want the belt of battle (mic73) !!! Even though you have belt of healing.

Yeah I agree that a belt of battle is usually a go to item for a lot of characters.

You could go through the MIC and search for something by slot and price, it usually doesn't take to long to find a random awesome magic item that way.

The Horn of the Tritons (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#hornoftheTritons) comes in at 15,100 gp. If you juts want something potentially fun rather than necessarily directly helpful.

Even for a 'fun' magic item, I'd really rather have something more generally useful instead of something that will only ever be useful in aquatic environments.

Rod of Wonder is only 12,000gp.

I'd go with a Banner of the Storm's Eye. Exactly 15k. Gives you and everyone within 20 feet stun, fear, and confusion immunity. Also, depending on how you interpret it, it doesn't take up an item slot but instead confers a Max Dex bonus of 3 and an ACP of 3. OR you can negate that and hold it in your hand. An unseen servant or cohort holding it is a great way to get around any penalty for wearing it.

Cloak of Mysterious Emergence gives you 3/day dimension door or 1/day teleport.

Vest of Free Movement gives you 3/day freedom of movement. (Awesome.)

If he lets you go a little higher than the 15k, (16k to be precise,) or lets you pay to get your weapon turned into a +1 Weapon before the reward, a +1 Weapon with a +1 Enhancement, (Valorous, Keen, etc.) and Parrying is a good choice if you want a firepower upgrade. (Parrying is a flat cost increase for the weapon but gives you +1 AC and +1 to all saves.)

Just curious, any crazy custom items you all can think of?

I think the ideal would probably be belt of battle + two (if the price ups by 50% for combining) or four (if it doesn't) belts of healing rolled into one item.

A trained Megaraptor from Arms & Equipment guide costs 13,000gp for young and 2,000 to train. Thus a trained one would have a market value of 15,000gp. Enjoy.

Enjoy.A warbeast T-Rex would be considerably cheaper -- by just over a decimal place. Make it magebred and you'll have a magic "item" to fulfill your requirements.

I use the magic item combining rules to make really great cloaks.

Combine Shadow Cloak, Cloak of Resistance +1, Cloak of Elemental Protection, and Travel Cloak for a net price of 10,400 gp. And there are other interesting cloaks you can add to this -- remember, other than the easy adds from MIC, all but the most expensive option costs *1.5 the normal cost. Also make it out of Earthsilk from MIC...

Earthsilk?

I'd suggest some boots that help your movement.
Combo the Steadfast boots, Boots of mountain king, and perhaps the quicksilver boots. All that is well below your 15k limit though, so it needs to do more.

Earthsilk...

Not MIC. Sorry. Races of Stone. That was my bad. Just a 'stronger than normal silk' silk.

Also make it a masterwork tool of hide.

+1 Magebane (CA) Large Dwarven Warpike: 8,390 gp (or just 8k if you upgrade your current weapon).
That leaves you 6,610 gp (or 7k) which can be spent on your choice of the following:
Adamantine (DMG): 3k
Everbright (MIC): 2k
Sudden Stunning (DMG2): 2k
Lesser Truedeath Crystal (MIC): 5k
Lesser Revelation Crystal (MIC): 1k
Lesser Crystal of Energy Assault (MIC): 3k
(Note you can only have one weapon crystal at a time.)
