Can't Change Thread Title (Answered)

In June, I started a thread in the Finding Players (Recruitment) forum. Player slots filled quickly enough over the next month, so I changed the thread title to reflect that we were done recruiting. Over the next month, we lost literally all of the players, so only the DM and I remain.

So now I'm trying, and apparently failing, to change the thread title again.

After 28 days, only a mod can change a thread's title. I suggest you PM one of the moderators for that subforum and ask for the thread's title to be changed.

Does anyone know the rationale for this limitation? I remember it bothering me in the various "vote up a __" homebrew threads.
