The vodou maester is a disciplined master of the scythe as well as an expert on the delicate line that borders mortality before death. She holds the scythe as the most sacred of weapons as the scythe alone provides the most pure and clean passage from life unto death. The vodou master typically reigns from a wild and free background. More in touch with nature, she respects the cycle of life and death. With that, the vodou master is taught the art of respectfully severing the soul from a creature's body and using that soul to power her spells.

BECOMING A VODOU MAESTER
A vodou maester needs to spend years understanding the nature of death and souls. This respect for nature typically comes from barbaric training or druidic initiation. However, a vodou maester is not all muscle and brawn. Most vodou maesters truly come into their own after they study as clerics under the praise of Nerull.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Base Attack Bonus: +5
Feats: Power Attack, Cleave, Weapon Focus (Scythe)
Skills: Knowledge (Religion) 9 ranks, Concentration 7 ranks, Spellcraft 7 ranks.
Spellcasting: Must be able to cast 2nd level divine spells.
Special: Rage or Frenzy ability. Must have died at least once in melee combat.

Class Skills
The Vodou Maester's class skills are: Bluff (Cha), Sense Motive (Wis).
Skills Points at Each Level: 4 + int

Weapon Proficiencies: A vodou maester does not gain any weapon proficiencies.

Class Features

Weapon Specialization (Scythe)- Gain the feat Weapon Specialization (Scythe) whether or not you meet the prerequisites.
White Harvest (Su)- The vodou maester believes that every soul has a purpose. Any soul can be used for a greater cause. Whenever she uses a scythe to either kill an enemy or land a critical hit, she can sever a piece of their soul and stores that energy in the blade of the scythe. You can then use this energy to refresh a spell slot, prepared or not, of third level or lower. You can use this ability as a standard action on your turn. The White Harvest can used once per day for every level of vodou maester you have.
Death Trance (Ex)-
Mortisium Slash (Ex)-
Greater Weapon Focus- Gain the feat Greater Weapon Focus (Scythe), whether or not you meet the prerequisites.
