As suggested by the title the game allows both Pathfinder and 3.X as well as a few other D20 systems as long as the builds fit within a certain power range.

That said I'll have access to more than just Pathfinder's guns and gun rules (still going to be wild west with revolvers though) and in some ways even some of the sci-fi stuff from D20 future like power armor.

I'm aware archer builds are dubious when it comes to ToB but could something be done with the gun slinger?

Diamond Mind's Time Stands Still is the basis of a TWF Great Crossbow build, a long with Apititude weapons and the Hand Crossbow Focus feat (Drow of the Underdark).

Should work out pretty well.

Western themed, utilizing guns and sword techniques, mixed with a touch of Sci-Fi.

Why does this sound familiar?

Anyways, with the Wisdom focus, a Gunslinger/Swordsage works well. In addition, since few techniques work directly with ranged combat, you're best bet is to grab maneuvers that are more oriented towards defense and movement. Diamond Mind, Setting Sun and Shadow Hand are all schools to really look at.

If you're not unopposed to homebrew, I might suggest looking at this discipline by TheDementedOne, Black Rain (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99529).

Otherwise, I've got nothing.

I've seen that build and it was really cool. It'd even be allowed here. I was just specifically going (hopefully) for some of the Gunslinger class features even from a dip and specifically the gun since this is TECHNICALLY a sci-fi game that includes some more archaic things like martial arts and magic.

I'll look through that build again to see what I can use and tweak for this application.

the DM's intent was something more like Firefly with the magic and stuff thrown in but that example definitely fits.

I appreciate it but i dislike homebrew. I'm not sure the DM likes homebrew either.

It's called out as a TO experiment, but Gun Fu (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/29232415/Weekly_Optimization_Showcase:_Gun_Fu) is a gunslinging ToB build by Tempest Stormwind.

It can theoretically fire as many as 300 shots in a round, and combined with Blood in the Water deals thoroughly ridiculous damage. However, while it is taken to some silly extremes, there's actually a lot of good stuff in there for any ToB crossbow archer or gunslinger.
