How would a continuous globe of invulnerability work? Like if I wanted a shield with it on it or a choker.

Can it work? The spell makes it sound like it is just an immobile sphere.

Can it even be mobile?

It's going to be very expensive, but it's doable under the rules.

A magic item with a continuous spell that lasts for rounds/level costs (caster level)x(spell level)x8000 gp.

Lesser Globe of Invulnerability is a 4th level spell and thus requires a minimum of a 7th level caster. 28x8000 = 224,000 gp.

A full-fledged Globe of Invulnerability item uses a 6th level spell and requires a minimum CL of 11. 6x11x8000 = 528,000 gp.

So, yes, it's doable. But it's ludicrously expensive. As it should be, given it's highly potent protection.

The spell effect is, indeed, immobile; a magic item that gets rid of that restriction, while doubtless possible, should cost rather more. How much is up to the DM.

Angels get a mobile lesser Globe of Invulnerability with a 20ft radius as a supernatural ability.
Summoning a Movanic Deva(FF) via Summon Monster VII or a Monadic Deva(FF) via Summon Monster IX is a lot cheaper and comes with a lot of additional benefits.
You could also use planar binding or planar ally to get one to follow you around or use Shapechange to become one yourself.

Astral Deva are explicitly available as cohorts via Leadership iirc.

If you're not a spellcaster a custom command word item that summons a Movanic Deva 1/day should be about 32000gp.

Do what now?

Bwah! So they do! How did I not remember that?

Wouldn't being over 200k make it an Epic item, multiplying the cost by 10 to 5,280,000gp?

They have an equivalent level of 20, so you need Epic Leadership to get them as cohorts.

Possibly; I never can remember where that cut-off is, and personally think that basing it purely off of price (such that there's a massive gap right at the price-break) is just dumb. But that is how the RAW.

You could just rely on Planar Ally (and deep pockets) to get one to follow you around.

Sort of; it is an Epic item, so you would need Craft Epic Wondrous Item to create it, but it only has the x10 cost multiplier if it trips the short list of 'things that aren't allowed to be higher than this pre-Epic.' The relevant ones here would be 'mimics a spell of greater than 9th level' or 'has a caster level greater than 20', neither of which would be required. So there's no extra cost premium beyond the very expensive base price.
