Ressurection and Vampires

So now that Durkon is a vampire the question that I thought of will he stay that way?

We know that he can cast Resurrection so what would happen if he cast it on himself? Can a vampire cleric raise themselves from the dead?

Positive energy is deadly to the undead. By the letter of D&D rules, Resurrection would bring Durkon back to life, but only if he was dead-dead (not undead) at the time it hit him.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Rich house-ruled that Durkon can resurrect himself, though it's unlikely to be immediate. If Durkon has Scribe Scroll, he could certainly make a scroll that someone else (probably Haley; failing that, any random NPC cleric) could use to resurrect Durkon.
