Is there a way to have a demon or devil as my eternal slave/thrall? I have been looking into planar binding and planar ally but those don't really do what I want them to do. I was inspired by the Books of Magic comic book series in which Tim has command over a few different demons throughout. Once I believe a Succubus and at another time a demon named Barbatos(I think, it's been a while). I thought about seeing if a DM might allow me to make permanent a Planar Binding/Planar Ally spell but that'd take more convincing than I'm up for. So what can I do to get a permanent demon slave outside taking an Imp familiar?

Thanks for your time Playgrounders, Sam

The Fiendbinder presitge class in Tome of Magic lets you bind and command fiends (selected from a predetermined list) indefinitely, provided you pay a certain amount of gold and complete the appropriate ritual.

It does rely on Truenaming, though, which isn't the best.

How much Truenaming? I'm currently a 5th level wizard headed towards master specialist

The contract devil (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/bestiary3/devil.html#_devil,-contract) can allow you to get one (until you die). It depends on the existence of a particular monster in your campaign, and the willingness of such a monster to cooperate with you (so you do need to ask your DM).

Also, improved familiar, once you reach 7th level.

How much Truenaming?
10 ranks of Truenaming just to get in, and you are required to make a successful Truename check on the creature every time you issue a command. So, quite a bit.

Alternately, you could Planar Bind something and use Mindrape, Necrotic Tumor, Monstrous Thrall, or some similar spell to make a creature your slave forever, but that's pretty high-level stuff. Also it's kinda cheesy.

The Thaumaturgist prestige class (in the SRD) might also be of use to you. The capstone is planar cohort.

You the need the feat Spell Focus (Conjuration).

Downside is you need to able to cast lesser planar ally which is a 4th level Cleric spell . . .

Well get the feat that lets you cast from a domain for Summoner Domain and get a wisdon of 14.

Of course! Arcane Disciple

Then you would be good to go!

Mindbender could get you a demon slave as well, though the degree of closeness depends on how much mindbender you have.

Mind bender wouldn't be that useful due the 1/2 casting; though you could use a fast advancing class like Nar Demonbinder (thematically fits) or due some shenanigans and into Sublime chord, though you would have to invest in charisma.

A simple Dominate Monster spell will do it if your DM allows you to command the creature to willingly fail saving throws against future Dominates.

Could the Leadership feat provide this, with the demon being a cohort?

It's not quite permanent, but BoVD has a couple calling spells that last for a year. With Extend Spell, that could reasonably last longer than many campaigns run.

I believe there is also a variant somewhere for summoning a specific creature (i.e. summon Bob the imp instead of summoning an imp), which might meet your needs. I can't remember where, though.
