Undead

That's right! You will be drawing avatars (in the OotS style) of the creatures from beyond the grave. If it's undead, it's fair game. And don't forget to dress up the OotS characters!

And, of course, there is going to be a First through Third place of the following:

Best Undead Avatar
Best Group (>1 Being = Group)
Best OotS Character as Undead
Best OotS Group as Undead
Best Erfworld Avatar (Either Undead in Erfworld style or Erfworld Character as Undead)

There can be only one…Best Overall award.

And, of course, the Roland’s Choice Award will go to the avatarist's creation that most appeals to my, admittedly ridiculous, sensibilities.

Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what category you are trying to enter in.

Just out of curiosity... why an undead contest around Christmas (especially as the Halloween one was full of them)? Unless your going for a 'Ghost of Christmas Past' or some such.

'Cause I'm warped! Warped, I tells ya!

(Really for three reasons. First, because the last contest was all typical frozen, wintery goodness (as much as possible without invoking actual holidays.) Second, it was chosen for much the same reason the current Design Contest (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29213) is the way it is - to create a wide open field that could generate lots of entries. Third, I like the cognative dissonance of such things!)

now this one comes with a story.

there was once a snowman. he lived very close to a very mean boy. one day that mean boy came up to the snowman and diceced to do soemhting bad. so he broke the snow mans arm. when he saw the snow gushing out of the stick he freaked out. so he ran away. the next day the boy passed the snow man again.he say that the snowman tunred blue. then he also saw that the snowman was alive.(ironc isnt it?) so he stared to run away. but the snow man floowed him yelling out, BRAINS!!! The next day the little boy was...... ( u make up what happens, lol.)

Actually this has lots of signifigance. I was running a campaign where a priest of Pelor, was converted by means of a magical object into a lich. He then proceeded to trick to PCs into bringing Vecna (the owner of the magical item) to the Material realm. It was all crazy stuff about how Nerull was going to destroy Vecna and have total control over evil, and wipe out everone else. And we somehow needed Vecna to travel to different resricted planes so he could attack Nerull and force him to recall his legions. But none of that was true, and the campaign ended before I could make things interesting, cause I decided to move everything online. Ok enough of me bantering.

Anyway, Thanks everyone who loves War. (oh that's funny if taken out of context) I love positive feedback and those who bear it. :smallbiggrin:

If anyone want to try, i suggest this one, i won't made it because i think i can't draw it as well as it deserve it.

Writers Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn have made Santa into one hell of a bad-ass action hero. As long as one child believes in him, he can’t die, making him a nigh unstoppable killing machine! The art by Rick Remender and Hilary Barta is perfectly suited to the subject matter, which is no small feat considering the Jekyll-and-Hyde nature of said subject matter.

Edit: I'd like to suggest that you change it from best avatar to best Oots style avatar.(if that's the case) It seems everyone does that anyway, but it might make everything a bit clearer.

Select layer you want to be made transparent. Right click. Add new layer mask. Initialize with white (full opacity). Right click on layer again. Make sure 'edit layer mask' is checked. Select 'show layer mask.' Select paint bucket tool. Move transparency to whatever level you want. Fill on screen. Uncheck 'show layer mask' and 'edit layer mask'.

EDIT: Also, the color you use with the fill tool should be black.

Well, i don't win too, but there are amazing piece of works in this thread (*), so i'm not sad about that.
