Free move action: What should I do with it?

as a spell user, what should one do with a free move action that can happen before anyone else is able to go?
Some sort of spell, ideally.

You can't normally cast if you just get a move action. Best things you can do with it are:
Move - position yourself so the meat shields are between you and the bad stuff.
Take a spot or listen check. Most DM's will make a different DC for a 'free action' check or one that is a move action, standard action, or full round action type of check.
Call out information to your party so they can use what you know to influence your actions. For example, a wizard may know what type of weapons overcome the DR of what you are about to face but the fighter may not. Telling him now so he can swap weapons could be key to surviving.
