Orbs of Dragonkind + Half Dragon

And I vote "no", because it talks about specific variety of dragons.

There's probably rules in one of the dragon books that should cover this in more detail, but off-hand from vague memories of DWK debates I believe a half-dragon of a particular color is not actually a dragon of that variety.

The Orb can dominate dragons of its particular variety.

It can not dominate dragons that are not of its particular variety.

A half-dragon is a dragon, but they are not a type of dragon that any Orb can dominate.

As such, a half-dragon is immune to an Orb of Dragonkind keyed to their particular ancestry.
