If you have a spell that can be exploited like energy transformation field or whatever, include that, but also just spells that are straight up awesome
Personally, I'd say Orb of force, Arcane fusion (and greater arcane fusion), celerity, wall of sand, and the aforementioned transformation field.

Scrying+Message covers most uses for sending one level earlier, and with no word limitation...
Enervation is just awesome
Presdigination
True Strike (with quickened lesser metamagic rods) for when you really need your ranged touch attack to hit

You should take a look at Solo's Stupendously Superior Sorcerer Strategems (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=2180.0) and The Logic Ninja's Guide to Being Batman (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104002). These are both awesome resources for good spells for Sorcerers and Wizards. There's also the Mailman Sorcerer Build (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19868534/The_Mailman:_A_Direct_Damage_Sorcerer) if you like that kind of stuff, a more direct damage approach.
