All That Spam

I'm certain I'm not the only one who's seen all these spam threads popping up, usually talking about movies. They're a bit annoying. Is anything being done to prevent them? Can anything be done to prevent them? Where are they coming from in the first place?

The only thing we can do at the moment is report them. Just click on the warning triangle at the bottom of the post, and report as SPAM.

There have been suggestions that new users can't post links for their first 5 posts, but this has been rejected for various reasons.

No clue where they are coming from, but it wouldn't matter anyways. They are most likely using a proxy.
