I'm looking for a way to get both the Megalodon Empowerment spell and the Body of War spell to affect the same creature.

Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this?

Edit: From the Q&A thread on having both active on a single creature at once,

This is an example of One Effect Makes Another Irrelevant in the magic stacking limits; see Player's Handbook on page 172. Basically, you have only one body, and it can only have one form at a time.

Contingency. "If X is cast upon me, cast Y"

...You cast both of them? I fail to see the issue.

Generally, when you are affected by those types of spells, you lose the ability to cast spells for the duration of the spell.

Contingency should work. Unless one spell only affects a certain creature type and the other spell changes your creature type. (I've never actually heard of megalodon empowerment.)

Edit: okay, so after actually taking the time to search around a bit, it seems both's target is simply "You", but both stop you from casting other spells. So... Craft Contingent Spell. Contingency wouldn't actually work; both spells are too high a level.

Ah, yea. My bad. And while you're at it, add Tenser's Transformation to the mix.

Ah no, sorry guys, as it turns out from this answer from the Q&A thread,

, so I'm looking for ways to actually mechanically achieve this goal. But nice catch on the cannot cast while transformed bit, though personally I'm going to use Energy Transformation Field to cast them.

Editing OP to reflect.

Four options:

1: Cast one spell on yourself, and the other spell on your familiar (you can target "You" spells on your familiar).

2: Simply cast both spells on yourself normally. Technically both spells will be active, dispellable, etc. True, only the second spell will actually be influencing your form and abilities, but that's not what you were asking. :smallwink:

3: Cast Shapechange to assume the (Su) and (Ex) abilities of one creature, and then (Draconic) Polymorph to assume the physical stats, attacks, and form of another. Builds like Priya the Prismatic Priestess (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=280365) cast Shapechange, Polymorph Any Object, Draconic Polymorph, and Alter Self in the right order to successfully have the (Su) abilities of a Dire Tortoise, the INT of a Sarrukh, the physical stats of a Ha Naga (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/haNaga.htm), and the physical form of a human.

4: Manifest True Mind Switch and permanently switch bodies with a Hagunemnon/Protean (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/hagunemnon.htm). You can now use the epic Alter Shape ability to simultaneously acquire different abilities from up to four different bodies.

5: be a dvati, cast it once on one body, once on the other?

I doubt that actually works, but the concept is hilarious.

Wow, guess I didn't realize how hard it was to combine transmutations. But then again, in a way, that's part of what makes PunPun so powerful. One form, many powers.

Agreed, that is freakin' hilarious. Now I'm gonna have to go check if it works.
