that's a good one. I'm a bit partial to this one (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0595.html)myself.

For the traditional definition of "great" - "Of an extent, amount, or intensity considerably above the normal or average." - I'd have to agree.
For the more modern conflation of "great" with "good", I'm fond of this one (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0659.html).

Close but it really is a few strips earlier (panels 6-8) (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0657.html).

Why has nobody mentioned the Tentacles of Forced Intrusion? That was pretty great.

V got so many good moments that it's really hard to decide which one is the best, but I really like this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0800.html) one.

This was another pretty good one (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0065.html). V actually showing a bit of quick thinking to get out of a major jam.

The bat guano is definitely the high point for me, though there are plenty of classic moments.

Seconded.
I may be a bit biased, as that small battle is my favorite stretch of strips in the whole comic, but I think you pegged V's finest moment.

and this reminds me why V is my favorite character in the OotS.

I'm pretty sure V in the Haleo and Julelan PDF is the best V.

I'm pretty sure V in the Haleo and Julelan PDF is the best V.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to the PDF and I don't have a way to solve that! Can I get a spoiler tagged explanation or (as I expect) would it ruin the joke to move it to a non-visual medium?

This (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0663.html)
The olinguito is distinct from olingos and the kinkajou (kinkajous resemble olingos, but are not closely related).[5] Its average weight is 900 grams (2 lb), making it the smallest procyonid.[1][3][6] The animal is an omnivorous frugivore[4] that eats mainly fruits (such as figs), but also insects and nectar resulting in feces the size of small blueberries.[7][6] The olinguito is thought to be solitary, nocturnal[4]:29:30 and moderately reclusive. Olinguitos appear to be strictly arboreal.[4][8] They have a single pair of mammae, and probably produce a single offspring at a time.[4][8][6]
The researchers who identified the species were unable to discover any local names specific to it.[9]

I re-read this one yesterday and really liked it, because it showed V has a grasp not just on the arcane magic but the knowledge of how to use it, even when it's someone else. V utilizes Elan (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0478.html)

martianmister, what the heck was that about? A link to a comic where V does nothing at all, followed by an invisible Wikipedia quote about some random animal?

At a guess, I'd say he doesn't like V at all, to the point that his greatest moment is when he was paralyzed and not able to do anything whatsoever.

I think it's Vaarsuvius' "greatest" moment.

I'm gonna go with turning around to help O-Chul. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0657.html)

I agree with the second poster. "Now can we please resume saving the world?" is, in my opinion, the ultimate V moment to date.

I cannot lie, when Familicide happened I was like "OMAGAWSH THIS IS AWESOME!" The part when V was helpin' O-Chul was pretty beast too though. I'ma call it a tie.
Obviously, this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0033.html).

My favorite V moment is when V appologised to Blackwing.
