Most PRCs are designed for entry at level 6 or later, so finding prestige classes with earlier entry than that is always difficult- the only one I can even think of off of the top of my head is Master Specialist.

Planar Shepherd after 6 lvl.
Moonspeaker after 8 lvl.
Warshaper after 6 lvl.
Nature's Warrior after 6 lvl.
Master of Many forms after 6 lvl OR :smallwink: look at pun-pun first step.

But there is no shame being straight 20 lvl druid :smallcool:.

Most prestige classes aren't worth taking for a Druid, as they tend to stunt your progression in one or more of your three key class features (spells, wild shape, animal companion) in exchange for something that's not even worth what it cost you.

If you're still trying to figure out which direction you want to take your character, you won't regret sticking with Druid 20.

I was going to say, "I heard there's a great PrC called More Druid, which you can enter starting at ECL 2!", but I see this has already been noted.

He may be looking for PrCs to nerf his character. Just saying.

Interesting thought, druid has so much power that the small prc nerf is not much hurt him

Well, that depends on just what prestige class he's looking at. For instance, a druid can enter Stoneblessed starting at level 2, and that's going to be a pretty significant nerf.

Well, for me it's always been a tossup between prestige classing into druid, and doing going multiclass druid, with a quick one level druid dip in the middle for all the amazing advancements to your druid abilities that gets you. On a more serious note, there really aren't that many druid prestige classes that I'd even consider. It's mostly planar shepherd, moonspeaker, and maybe lion of talisid if I'm feeling frisky. There's also the list of specialized druid PrC's, like arcane heirophant and MoMF, but I'm not much of a fan of those. The thing that most druid prestige class options have in common is that you need wild shape to get into them, so you're usually looking at druid 5/ PrC X at the very least.

Warshaper isn't a bad dip for 2 lvls iirc can't be critical hit anymore and you can do a size bigger claws but you don't progress in spells but depending on your role in the party it might not matter.

What role are you looking for your druid to fill? That would help us suggest the best prestige classes that you can get into early.

I'll throw my hat in with the "just stick with druid class" bunch as well though. If you insist on a PrC for some reason, Planar Shepherd is generally the #1 choice if your DM will allow it. I'm also a fan of Lion of Talisid if you're a NG druid.

Not actually a PrC, but if you're LN and focusing on wildshape, a one-level dip in Monk can be useful, too. That gets you wis to AC, Improved Grapple, and iterative attacks in addition to all of your natural weapons.
