I've been considering getting into selling something via Project Wonderful. Is it allowable to make a thread checking to see if people would be interested in buying, so as to figure out whether or not I should, in fact, start doing this? Or does that qualify as advertising under the rules even though the thing being sold isn't actually being sold yet due to my not knowing if people would buy and not wanting to waste money on ads somewhere that doesn't have buyers? I am avoiding naming the product/service so as to not break the rules if it turns out to be against them.
To summarize: Opening a thread to ask if people would buy something were it available, with clear intent to make it available if such interest exists. Permitted?
