Hello. Im looking to make a character for a campaign. I am trying to do alot of damage, while removing options. No..i do not want to be a tripper. I simply want to dish out enough damage and have maneuverability.

If Shocktrooper/charging is necessary then using the books do it. We have mostly been in caves, and 30-50 foot rooms. I need mobility is the main issue. So see what you can come up with, and explain why its optimised.

My main issue, Is i do not want a cookie-cutter build. I want something with fluff, and something enjoyable. I want to be a Barbarian with flare! and not a pink bow guys...well...maybe..

Here are the books allowed.

Too bad you can't be a goliath.

Half-Orc Barbarian/Fighter should do the trick

Fighter Power Attack/Cleave
Fighter Combat reflexes
Barbarian (Whirling frenzy variant) Mage Slayer
Barbarian
Barbarian
Barbarian Pierce magical protection
Barbarian
Barbarian

Be a bear warrior. Reason: why wouldn't you be a bear? I mean come ON.

Absolutely, there is no reason for not taking the PrC.

Too specific for arcane casting foes. And mage slayer build way way better with ranger.

Yeah, because we all know only arcane casters benefit from magical protection...:smallconfused:

Hm, touchér. Too specific for arcane casting foes, sounds better.

I would imagine that by eighth level most, if not all, enemies will be sporting some kind of magical protection, be it a simple +1 shield or whatever. Dispelling it is sweet. I'd recommend looking at feats that grant additional attacks/AoO's next such as Robilar's gambit, snap kick, etc.

Regardless, a charging barbarian/dungeoncrasher fighter will be a lot more efficient at dealing damage, but since the OP doesn't want one...

Bear Warrior is actually Quite good.

We have not had to fight too many casters as of yet. As most of the strong casters are the "Elite" mobs. But, I would like to fair decent against them. But in the mean time. I need to wreck face against the Melee.

Mage slayer isnt a bad dip for a feat. Any other suggestions?

So far I like:

Power Attack
Mage Slayer
Spell Sense
Pierce magical Protection

I agree with you (Gwendol), that there are a hundred ways to make barb better, but as i mentioned before, too few books allowed. So no maneuvers, no good races, no good ACF or variants, no good feats and so on....

Cleave, obviously. Getting a free attack is always good.

You are welcome to show me this build also. I just heard it was charge smack, charge smack. I just wanted some flare. If you can give me some fluff/flare with it..id play it. Just dont want simple (cookie-cutter) builds.

What sources are available?

Ok, so something like Human Dungeoncrasher fighter 2/Barbarian 5/Bear Warrior 1

Fighter Power attack/Imp Bull rush/Dreadful wrath
Dungeoncrasher (extra damage when bull rush into walls, vs traps, etc)
Barbarian Cleave (or leap attack)
Barbarian
Barbarian
Barbarian Shock trooper
Bear warrior

You can demoralize automatically when charging or making a full attack, dungeoncrasher is fun at low levels, and combined with shock trooper will give you some additional tactical options if the situation arises. Bear warrior will make your rages more interesting.

This, with the knockdown feat. huge damage gives a trip. now you have bull rushes, trips, and intimidation.

I am going to recommend something a little different.

druidic avenger (from the SRD) 6 / warshaper 3-4 / bear warrior 5 / war shaper 1 / master of many forms 4

I know you loose druid levels, but it feels like a barbarian.

You get

Wildshape into a bear.
Rage so hard you become a bear
Then get so angry your claws get bigger.

So, 19 str base from being a black bear.

This triggers the warshaper +4 str and con

Then you get +8 strength for raging from a black bear, into a black bear.

So you cap out at something like 27 + items str at 8th level and then 31+items at 10th level.

Pick up extra rage at 3rd level and extra wildshape at 6th.

At 16th level you start picking up master of many forms. This allows you to change into a dire bear or other large forms as your base, and if you need to sneak, you can turn into a pixi and fly while invisible.

Due to warshaper 5 you can change forms without using another wildshape use.

Another option is warhulk 10 after bear warrior 5. This nets you +20 strength over the brown bear form when raging, but not any time else.

Yup, and still give versatility enough to be meaningful even when charging is impossible (only standard action attacks allowed).

Knock-down requires the Wolf totem barbarian though, for the imp trip feat.

Druidic avenger - SRD
Warshaper - Complete warrior
Bear warrior - Complete warrior
Master Of Many Forms - Complete Adventure
Extra Rage - Complete warrior
Extra Wildshape - Complete Divine

I think that's all on his list.

Yep, found Druidic Avenger in my Unearthed Arcana.

What about..Dungeoncrasher?

I had an idea while back using druid/warshaper/master to be a grappler/pinner. But never looked into druidic avenger. That opens alot of things.

You could play a Varag from MM-IV. They're ridiculously mobile and actually a little terrifying in combat.

Dungeoncrasher fighter is not, but then again, it isn't a necessary feature. It's in Dungeonscape.

Consider building around the Three Mountains feat (Complete Warrior). It's one of the better debuff options available to melee within your sources.

TripperdeCleric

It would be good against casters..but the other feats cover that pretty well.

If it was a will save..i think it could stop most melee.
