THE UMBRANIMA TYPE
Umbranima is a new creature type, describing creatures that have died but returned to a semblance of life through shadow magic. While undead draw their power from the Negative Energy plane, umbranima draw from and are tied to the Plane of Shadow.

Good Will saves.

While in an area of darkness, they gain fast healing equal to 1/4 their Hit Die, rounded down and to a minimum of 1. While in an area of shadowy illumination or darker, they heal normally as a living creature would. While in an area of bright illumination, they cannot heal. Unless otherwise stated, this fast healing stacks with what ever fast healing the creature may have had in life.
Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save, except for energy drain attacks, effects that also work on objects, and harmless effects.
Uses Charisma modifier for Concentration checks
Not at risk of death from massive damage, but when reduced to 0 hit points or less, it is immediately destroyed.
Not affected by raise dead or reincarnate spells or abilities. Resurrection an true resurrection can affect the umbranima if they are willing. These spells turn umbranima creatures back into the living creatures they were before becoming umbranima.
Hide from undead and undeath to death work against umbranima. Detect undead and deathwatch also reveal umbranima, and allow the caster to distinguish umbranima creatures from undead and deathless. Spells of the light descriptor used against an umbranima are treated as maximized, but spells that have greater than normal effect against undead creatures do not have these enhanced effects against umbranima creatures.
Proficient with its natural weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entries.
Proficient in whatever type of armor it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Umbranima not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Umbranima are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.

I suggest giving them either light blindness or shadow mastery.
Further, any fast healing should be scaled (albeit slowly) with HD, or at least stack with any preexisting FH.

I've given them light blindness and fast healing (1/4 HD, rounded down, minimum 1). Im not sure if I should increase or decrease the rate of increase, what do you think?
