The Good League of Good is a Nexus organization devoted to the care and support of those in need, a sanctuary for those that need it, and the redemption of evildoers. The organization strives to make the campsite a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Charitable Activities:
GLoG performs good works such as caring for distressed individuals in need, housing and feeding evacuees from the city during disasters, and healing sick and injured people in GLoG's infirmary - renowned as the most advanced place of healing in the Nexus.

Our Redemption Program:
Individuals who come in search of redemption should be interviewed by a member to see how their needs can be best met, and then assigned to a mentor who will assist them. Graduation from the redemption program will occur when both the redemee and his/her mentor agree that they have made sufficient progress.

Attention villains:
Conflict is great! It's the heart of any story, and there isn't much to roleplay without it. However, as a player to player courtesy, please check in with the players who are active at any given time before launching an attack. Not everyone wants to roleplay combat scenes, and sometimes there are other things going on (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0497.html) that players don't want to interrupt for a random fight. Either a PM/IM to players, a short post in thread to say ((Mind if I introduce a villain here?)) or a longer post in the OOC thread if it's a larger plot is appreciated.

Also, please don't plan any villainy that will result in destroying the base or having the same effect (poisoning the lake, burning down the forest, etc.) without the consent of the majority of the players who would be affected.

Base Defences:
he GLoG campsite is now under the effects of the spell Plaza of Downcast Eyes. Almost all teleportation and scrying spells are blocked.

A Spirit Charm has been placed on the GLoG grounds. A number of willing spirits serve to protect the grounds. See the Miscellaneous Inhabitants section for more information.

There is a perimeter of cactus plants to encourage anyone on foot to enter by one of the main entrance points.


If any of your characters add more defences, please PM them to Gulaghar so they can be added.

After the original GLoG building was destroyed by an army of catpeople, the survivors took out a mortgage and purchased Phoenix Lake Campground. Facilities include the main lodge house, a bathhouse with separate male and female sections, a stable (one horse present, a chestnut mare named Fancy owned by Dr Burnett), various picnic shelters, and a few scattered cabins. It's set in the foothills of the Acro mountains, and mainly surrounded by woods. There are many hiking trails nearby leading to mountaintop vistas, waterfalls, seacoves, and various other locations, both within this thread, and in the Outside thread. The campground is also within easy walking distance of the city of Inside, though there is also a Riftline station just outside the campground for those who prefer to take the train or who have farther to go.

At the lake, there is a small dock with a little shed nearby where a few canoes and paddleboats are stored. The swimming area has a GIANT slide and a rope swing. Because GIANT slides and rope swings are awesome. :smallbiggrin: There is a sandy volleyball court not far from the slide, a playground under the trees, set back from the lake somewhat, and a set of horseshoe pits.

Buildings:
Main Lodge: This large building contains an industrial kitchen with a cafeteria style serving area, and an open space that was once used as the dining hall. The space is warmed by a massive fireplace. Bunk beds are lined up on one end of the hall, opposite the kitchen, and a few comfy chairs and sofas are beginning to appear around the fireplace as they are procured. The building itself is made of stone.

Infirmary: If no PC is present in the Infirmary, patients are tended to by Nurse Piper, a ghost NPC who haunts the infirmary. Despite being a ghost, she is solid enough when managing anything to do with nursing. She has a tyrannical bedside manner, but will always put the welfare of her patients first. She is able to generally stabilize patients and do general nursing care, but cannot provide magical healing or any type of advanced medicine that would normally be performed by a doctor.

The outside of the infirmary looks just like all the rest of the buildings. Nothing distinguishes it at all. But inside, everything is white, with silver highlighting. Even though it doesn't seem possible, when looking from outside, sunlight filters inside. Giving the place a warm feeling with natural light. A soft, soothing music filters through the whole building and voices can barely be heard saying words of healing and comfort, like: "You are going to be okay." "We'll take care of you." "You are dear to us." and so on.

Each room is walled off for a limited amount of privacy, because the pixies know that humans seem to need this. Strange. But it is limited. There are no doors. The wall's angles are severe, so that people on the other side of the hall can't see into anyone's room. Only someone intentionally looking in, can see you.

Cabins: Individuals can have their own room within a cabin, but they are unlikely to have a full cabin to themselves unless they come equipped with a family. Some of the cabins have been rebuilt, so may have more space than the 4 room cabins the campground came with, and a few cabins have had private bathrooms installed. All cabins are named after trees, and players are free to invent further details about their own cabins.

New cabins can be added to this list as needed; just pick a tree name and start posting for it. PM Gulaghar to have it added to the official list.

Cabins coloured green are currently unavailable for new inhabitants, with the reason listed next to the cabin name. Typically this means a cabin is occupied by a family or has all its rooms filled.

The bolded buildings are not cabins of the usual sort and are not usually occupied by normal members. Few exceptions exist.

Visitor's Cabin - Apple is reserved for visitors who do not want to stay at the lodge. They are requested to check in at the main lodge, where any member can give them permission to stay for a few days. Longer than that, and unless they are in need, they would be requested to either join or move to their own place or one of the local inns.

Bathhouse: This building is divided into the men's and women's bathhouses, with entrances at either end. It has shower stalls, a line of sinks, and toilet stalls in each.

Workshop: A well built cabin designed by Reelshka, containing nothing at present but the Mainframe installation. It is locked. Drones fly in and out of a small entrance that opens for them when they send an encrypted signal.

Miscellaneous Inhabitants:
The Spirits
Recently in the history of GLoG, a protective charm has been placed over the GLoG grounds. The shaman Pathfinder bid all the willing spirits that perished in and around GLoG to protect the grounds from those that would wish to do it and its inhabitants harm.

At the current time, Morty controls the spirits for the most part.

The Drones Mk 2
The drones are back at GLoG (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10099372#post10099372). Drones are NPCs who can be played by anyone, within the guidelines below:

Their Primary Function is member safety.
They no longer have teleport beams or alignment scanners.
They do have stun beams, little arms, and the ability to record what's going on around them.
They follow orders, unless those orders conflict with their Primary Function.
There are only 4-5 in operation at any one time.
They can be destroyed, but if so, they'll be restored from backup.
A few have been supplied with medical programming, and thus can be godmodded for infirmary duties.
They often have weird personality quirks and are prone to malfunctioning.
Statement: They speak in DarkOrange FixedSys
The only named drone (so far) is Caretaker, who is a private drone charged with protecting Brinika and controlled by Morty.

The Ghosts
Having been built on a Generic Ancient Burial Ground, Phoenix Lake Campground is haunted by various ghosts. They are generally harmless, and for the most part glad to have some company, though pranks and hijinks may occur. Ghosts can be NPC'd by anyone unless they are listed as PCs in the following list. They tend to speak in Gray, and mostly appear for comic purposes, but this is by no means a requirement.

She looks at the painting Jamie's doing.

"Oh. Well, that's good then." And now Jamie looks a little awkward, like now that Sasha's there, she has no clue what to ask the other girl she wants to do! "...do you have any hobbies or anything?" she asks, eventually.

The painting isn't by the next Michaelangelo, but it isn't half bad at all. Also the scene the Magical Girls (for that is who they are) in the painting are looking over is rather grimdark.

Sitting outside under a tree is Yuki, still made of ice and snow. She is playing with a couple of long pieces of grass, folding and tying them. It looks like she is trying to make something, but there are half a dozen failed attempts that look little more then balls of grass. She crumples up her current attempt and tosses it away with a sigh. She pulls her knees to her chest and rests her forehead on her knees, her wings wrapping around her.

"We need to know who's behind it. An AMEN member was spotted when the plague was being spread, and they'd used it before in Riverside, but it doesn't fit together. We think it's more likely that someone wants us to believe AMEN did it. Examining the plague thoroughly is the first step in finding out who."

I see... Well, you're in luck. I've already looked into this. Not as a formal investigation, mind you, but out of professional curiosity. Where did my notes go...? Toby rummages around his messy desk for a few seconds before he finds a notepad. Let me give you my basic impressions of the Riverside plague, and then how the Inside plague differs. First of all, it's obvious engineered. Apparently AMEN took advantage of my family holiday to attack Riverside with a bioweapon, but even without that announcement it is clear that we're dealing with something artificial. The paralysis. Mycoses just don't do that. The paralysis... curious, that AMEN would choose a nonfatal plague, isn't it? Either they couldn't or wouldn't make their bioweapon deadlier... At any rate, the fact that the epidemic was caused by a fungus is highly suggestive. You use viruses or bacteria when you make a bioweapon. People just don't use fungi. Unless that's what they naturally work with. So we are able to deduce that AMEN has someone who specializes in fungi, probably with fungi related powers and abilities. The Druid's pipe has gone out, so he relights it before continuing.

Now, let us turn our attention to the vector, that is, the agent of the plague's spread throughout the cities. In Riverside, squirrels were used. They were somehow modified to carry the fungal spores without becoming infected themselves, but they appeared normal to the untrained eye. By contrast, the Inside epidemic was spread by rats which bore an unusual design on their skin. He shows Wenomir a photograph of the symbol. This was taken by an Inside health official whom I have taught. None of the squirrels in Riverside were noticed to have anything like it. Therefore, we can conclude the following: First, that AMEN has either a member with powers over animals or some other way of modifying them. Second, that the attack on Inside was caused by someone with access to the Riverside plague, but not the Riverside vector. Third, the people responsible for this Inside plague have supernatural powers--possibly arcane, divine, demonic, or eldritch in nature--that require sigils.

Now, there is one other thing I have noticed and it's a little confusing... The incubation period of the Inside plague is roughly four times longer than the Riverside plague. It has been deliberately manipulated to that end. Given that the cure had already been manufactured and distributed by that Evolution Industries company, a longer incubation period is completely stupid for anyone trying to kill people with the epidemic. It was even less deadly than the Riverside plague, which seems to indicate that the person or people responsible didn't want to kill people. Which leaves their most likely goal as terrorism.

Toby hesitates, then looks Wenomir in the eye. But I think someone wants Inside to go to war with AMEN. As much as I hate those bastards, this looks like a frame job. And the fact that so few people got hurt in Inside... well, you may want to take a close look at Remnant and the Irregulars. He taps the picture of the rune again. Either way. Identify the sigil and you'll find your bioterrorist.

"That was our conclusion too. But I don't think it's necessarily a move against AMEN. It's possible someone wants us - that is, Watchtower, HALO, Remnant and Irregulars - to focus on AMEN so they can get away with some stunt. We can't really say at this point. But in any event, since we've figured out AMEN most likely didn't do it, that part of their plan has failed."

He examines the photograph of the sigil.

"I can't say it rings any bells. But it is a clue that we can start an investigation with. Thanks for the help."

With that, she pulled some papers out of her purse and handed them to Reelshka. They were doctor's notes, stating that her actual age (as in the time she's been alive) was 22 years. It proceeded to explain that she was the victim of a spell that backfired, reducing her physical age to around 6 or 7. Her physical and, to a degree, her emotional state were those of a young child, whereas her mental state was still that of an adult. The notes advised that she should be afforded the legal status of a disabled adult, but it would do well in many circumstances to consider her an actual child due to her emotional state.

"Well...." How to put this in a way that wouldn't humiliate her? The answer was 'medically', of course. "I suffer from nocturnal enuresis."

Because that totally wasn't just fancy talk for 'wetting the bed'. Nope.

And before anyone says anything, I'm trying to play this character fairly realistically. And nocturnal enuresis is a fairly common occurrence (10-13% in her age range), especially when the child is under stress. And this character is under a lot of stress.

I don't know who you are, but let me tell you something. I don't have bad ideas. You can write that one down for future reference.

Yes, she knew Reelshka said she should take a nap, but duty before pleasure and all that. As far as she was concerned, she was still a doctor. Well, a vet, but the lines tend to blur after a while....

Silence's ears perk at the sound of swimming, but fall once more when she reminds him that the hammer might weigh him down too much to let him do what he wants to so much. After she stops talking, she'll notice him looking at the wrist-cuff forlornly, as if he's seeing Lines on that as well, but when he reaches towards it with his other paw, as if he's about to try breaking it off, she'll see him pause, shaking at the thought of losing the one thing that'd always been his.

He'll stay shaking in horror and deep thought as he tries to decide what to do until she nudges him some way or another.

"Hold on, I was in the neighborhood and I heard someone over here asking for an adventure. Can I assume someone is in the market for a bit of worthwhile danger then? Because I'm finding both my patience and heroes willing to actually do something in nonexistent supply." She does not sound patient, sultry, motherly, or anything else that she would normally affect for the sake of a conversation. She sounds like she looks, like she's spent days crying over something and not even bothered to cover it up. If either of them cared about such things (not that I'm saying they don't) then they might realize they haven't seen Julie or her children around for an abnormally long time.

"Oh. Well, that's good then." And now Jamie looks a little awkward, like now that Sasha's there, she has no clue what to ask the other girl she wants to do! "...do you have any hobbies or anything?" she asks, eventually.

The painting isn't by the next Michaelangelo, but it isn't half bad at all. Also the scene the Magical Girls (for that is who they are) in the painting are looking over is rather grimdark.

Obviously, that would be really stupid of me with my husband and children here. So, I'm willing to compromise. Reinholdt dear, you don't look all that comfortable being... A dear. So, I'll give it my best changing you into a guy if you want to give it your best shot finding and killing this bastard before he kills any other innocents. And since you two are such bosom buddies then I'll leave it up to Toby's sense of honor if he wants to go too. I can even loan you some clothes for the trip, you look about my size now." She tries to smirk saucily, but it comes off a bit weak.

"Could always go the other way too, if you really do want to be bosom buddies all the way around. Whatever you two are into." She shrugs as she raises an eyebrow at Toby challengingly, getting back into the familiar role she used to play. Anger boiling beneath the skin, but fire and passion all the way through. It's a tempting state to be in to avoid actually thinking about what happened, shucking off the hurt for a little while.

Unless Toby forcibly resists what may feel as an intrusion, Julie will try to reshape him to be Reina's equal in looks while preserving his facial uniqueness and skin/hair colours. The change is complete down to the hormonal level, by some handwavey means that Julie could probably wind up spending days on end explaining. Hundreds of years perfecting her techniques and all that.

Hopefully Toby's clothes weren't too tightly tailored when the process was attempted though.

"So, two sets of clothes, anything else I can get you gals before you start? I don't have much information at all, except that whatever happened almost certainly did so at an Inside park. I could give you the address of her roommate too and let her know you two are coming if you need more."

For a second, it looks like Toby's bespoke clothing is about to burst. Then she touches her fedora and the clothes are magically altered to fit better. While Femholdt figures out the important stuff, Femby closes her eyes and magically explores the changes.

The changes, once completed, aren't magical even though they were done with a supernatural energy. Julie uses the energy to move the cells around to a new configuration, and once they're there they should stay that way. The changes are as extensive as I described though, making Toby as female as is possible without direct DNA tampering.

"Right this way ladies. The apartment is number [x] at the corner of [I Forgot] road and [Doesn't Matter] Avenue. Her name is Sophie, and she's about yay high, spider body for legs. Used to be a talking spider, but now she has a woman's torso from some magical infestation doing something to her. Couldn't tell you the cause, except that it was murder. Don't know how the bastard did it." Julie's cabin is thankfully close by means of handwavium, and she has a spare wardrobe in her living room by the time they walk in the door.

"Take whatever you'd like from this one. None of my personal day to day outfits are in there, just things I make for myself when the mood strikes me. It's a walk in, so take your time." She opens the doors, inviting Reina and Tobie(?) to spend some time in the magical closet together.

Reina steps into the closet and starts perusing the outfits, but it probably becomes clear she's new at this. It's not like Reinholdt dressed all that well to begin with because I'm terrible at such things.

Probably something to protect from possible spider bites.

Sasha follows, drifting along behind Jamie literally without a sound. She stops when Jamie stops and stares with her. It's a nice bonding experience, shared staring.

Silence snaps out of it for a moment, looking at Lily with fallen ears before he gives her a quick hug. He'll hold up a claw for a moment, asking her to wait as he picks up a rock to slam against the shackle. He was tired of being too scared to play. He wanted to swim with Lily more than he wanted to feel safe. He just...

He just wanted to feel like he was having fun for once. He can always get a new shackle if he wanted to. This one was getting a little tight anyway.

Once the metal splits open, the Wolfen pulls it apart before letting it drop to the ground next to the hammer. The place where it'd been looks to be very very pale and unhealthy furless skin, covered in scars from places where the restraint was changed too many times less than it should have been. Silence instantly sets his other paw over it, a little embarrassed, but tries to rub some feeling into the patch of skin before giving Lily a nod, ready to go.

Silence gives her hand a squeeze before turning his wrist over, exposing the brand on the inside to her, showing the 'S' that was put on him while he was much younger. The scarring is tight, pulled every which way by the skin around it as the skin grew and the scar didn't. Once he shows her, he'll try to pull her into yet another hug, nuzzling her shoulder to try and get some comfort for the both of them.

Anyone passing by the lake should see an interesting sight. Yuki floats in the lake, still made of snow and ice. While she is too heavy to fly, she floats just fine. Her wings stretched out as she floats on her back. She stares up at the sky thinking about flying. She has been out on the lake for a few hours now.

As soon as they get near the lake, Lily squirms down and strips off her dress and socks and shoes. Her 'swimsuit' is her undershirt and bloomers. She flings her unwanted clothing onto a rocking chair on the porch of the main lodge and tears off in her usual haste to the ladder of the Giant Slide. She doesn't climb up immediately though. She has to turn on the spigot that pipes water to the top of the slide so that kids sliding down it don't stick to the hot metal.

"Hurry up, Silence!" :smallbiggrin:

Silence takes a couple moments to set aside most of his things like his pouches and the lanyards he uses to keep his incoming mane tied back. Once he's done, he watches Lily run towards the slide as he rubs his newly exposed wrist. That's when he realizes that he left his hammer back in the clearing, but after giving a glance back, he gives himself a shake of his head before running off to follow Lily. When he gets there, he gestures for her to go first, his tail wagging a little in excitement.

Lily's a good swimmer, so he doesn't have to worry. Unless he cares about getting in a splash war. Because she's totally just figured out her tail works well for starting a splash war.

Silence will keep up the splash war as long as possible before he begins to get tired, too unused to trying to float in water, and swims back to the shallow part of shore to flop down on a rock to bask in the sun. He beckons Lily to join him if she wants. He'd like the company.

You don't want to be recognized? But it might make people talk about something other than all the apocalypses. The Druidess turns around and begins switching clothes. She waits until she can hear Femholdt undressing before she peeks.

Lily never seems to run out of energy until she splats for the night, but she's happy to follow him to shore. "I think one day I will be able to swim all the way across the lake. Then we could explore the forests there and do some hunting and I bet I can smell all sorts of prey now that I'm part Wolfen!"

Silence rolls onto his side and props his head up on his elbow, listening intently. She never stops talking it seems, but he didn't mind. He likes listening to someone who has all sorts of hopes and dreams. Whatever she suggested sounded like fun and he liked it that way. She'll find him smiling and watching her, tail wagging a little as he dries off in the sun. Once she gives her idea though, he looks across the lake to see how far it might be, as if he's judging if he can carry her there. He'd like to be able to get her through one of her ideas.

She might have to wait a little bit as Femholdt takes the time to peek herself. Then she slowly starts undressing herself to get the clothes on, so when the druidess' head turns, Reina quickly turns her head away so as to try and not to get caught, forgetting that she should be yelling at Tobias for her own peeking.

It's a big lake. Silence would likely need to work himself up to swimming that far, since he's had so little practice. They could probably hike around the lake, if they started early and had a lunch packed.

Yuki tries to sit up in the water, which causes her to tumble and splash a bit before she can right herself and swim over to the shore. It looks like she has borrowed a swimsuit and towel from the clothing bin. "Hello Sophie. What is it?" She asks gently towing off her snowy body. She seems a bit nervous, people don't often come up saying they need to tell her stuff. She hopes she isn't in trouble.

Reina hurries and finishes pulling on her suit, adjusting it and hammerspacing most of the rest of her equipment besides a lockpick set, a knife, and a pistol, the first two of which slide into her boots.

"Oh. Ohhh. Those kind. I was thinking, uh... nevermind. I thought we were at GLoG to stop doing those types of schemes and traps? I mean a dangerous adventure is one thing but, uh..." Reina rolls her hand around looking for an example. "Seducing Magtok is another."

Natalie, and perhaps Carth, is approaching. She's a twelve-year-old girl with long black hair cascading down her back, and wearing a green t-shirt and blue joggers. She's also barefoot, with a battered red rucksack slung over her back."Hey, Jamie!"

Silence files the information away for now, planning to see if he can get Pansy to make a basket for the two of them for tomorrow. It looks like she has borrowed a swimsuit and towel from the clothing bin. "Hello Sophie. What is it?" She asks gently towing off her snowy body. She seems a bit nervous, people don't often come up saying they need to tell her stuff. She hopes she isn't in trouble.

"Someone is inquiring about you on the Wall... they even enclosed a photo. Do you know who it might be?" Sophie says.

Yuki shakes her head. Pretty much everyone she knows lives her at GLoG. "No, I still don't remember my past. Did they say why they were looking for me?" She says sounding more nervous then excited. If these people knew her from before she came here they could provide her with a lot of anwsers. Still from what little she knows about her past life she still isn't sure if she wants to know about her past.

A camera flash happens as the two step out into the living room again, a broad grin on Julie's face replacing her previous dour look, "You two look fit to be drooled over at a convention. I can't believe that out of everything in there you two picked costumes. Still, if you want to get any mischief and trickery in, come back if you need a change of face or outfit. It's the least I can do if you actually catch that bastard." Julie makes no mention of the fact that after Kate's death she warded her cabin rather thoroughly so she'd be able to know the comings, goings, and conversations going on inside. It's the main reason that the mist goings on didn't penetrate her cabin, with all the defensive filters she has up. Would probably kill her false good cheer if she got into all that.

"I'll call Sophie, her room-mate, once you two leave. Let her know you're on your way to talk."

Tito opens the fish trap and drops the fish into the bucket, where they flop around and drown in the air. He carefully reassembles it, then flings it back into the stream. "We'll want to go upstream from here, where it's easier to cross."

Pansy hugs and kisses her daughter, and sighs. "We'll have to go talk to Pathfinder." She stands up, putting a hand to the small of her back. "But you and Silence were eating. Finish that first."

We've been assigned to represent our organization at a super fancy party on a yacht hosted by one of our suppliers, but it would take forever and ten days to drive there, so our boss suggested that we parachute in out of the back of one of our cargo planes delivering a shipment not far from where the yacht will drop anchor and hitch a ride back on it too. Cool, huh!"

Alyca isolates her cabin key and harnesses its less than mind-boggling power to unlock the door! The interior of the cabin has been remodeled since Justin's last visit! Somehow the girls expanded the interior of the cabin without altering its exterior as the minibar they've installed on the wall left of the entrance proves!

There's also a spinning disco ball hanging from the ceiling above the new bar. Groovy.

Alyca saunters over to the freezer, beginning to prepare yummy ice cream treats for the two of them!

"Do ya wanna be my guest to the yacht party?"

Alyca likes saying that word! Yacht!

After you have enough branches, you soak them in water to make them soft, and then it's easy to weave them into the shape you need." Tito says. He leads them to a shallow place where they can easily ford the stream and moves on to the next trapping place in the lake itself. This time when he pulls the trap up, it's empty, and the reason is obvious. There's a place where a few of the branches have worn through, opening up a wide hole. "And sometimes, they need repair. The branches don't last forever," Tito says ruefully. He cuts the trap free from the rope and drops it into the bucket, atop the now dead fish. "I'll put some branches in the water to soak overnight, and tomorrow, I'll fix it."

Hey look, it's Salix playing in the water. The little dryad girl is actually not naked for once when she's in the water, much to the relief of anyone that might come across her, I'm sure. She has a pair of shorts on! She's practicing swimming all alone and obviously not having an easy time of it. She still barely has any experience swimming and certainly hasn't learned properly yet. Thankfully she knows well enough not to go too deep, but someone might see her floundering around in the water.

Salix might recgonize Yuki from the one brief time they met. So brief that I don't remember much of what was said. I think Salix was playing with rabbits. Though Salix might recgonize Yuki since she like so many GLoGians have been transformed. She is now made of snow and ice, sparkling in the sunlight.

Yuki does see Salix splashing in the lake and waves and calls out. "Hello! Salix are you OK?" She sounds concerened and takes a step closer to the water looking ready to jump in.

Actually, it started when Salix was climbing a cabin. I think the rabbits were involved later, though.

Salix stops her attempt at swimming and stands up easily on the ground below her. "Hiya! Um..." Does she know who that is? She might be able to recognize her from closer up, but not from this far away. The dryad starts wading toward the shore. "I'm okay. I was practicing swimming!"

"But I have found out that I float really well in this form. So maybe I can help you with your swimming." Not knowing how to swim herself she could probably act as a very chilly raft in the water.

Alyca chuckles, as she slides a generous helping of chocolate ice cream mixed with candy topped with hot fudge and real caramel in a sweet wafer bowl down the counter on a plate to Justin with a metal spoon! She even spread a medium-sized portion of multicolored sprinkles on top! Special sprinkles! Sprinkles containing nanobots that might help speed up his hand's recovery before harmlessly exiting his body!

"Everyone at the yacht party is going to be wearing a costume. The party is pirate and ninja themed, oddly enough, but authentically so. No fake parrots or plastic katanas or you'll be walking the plank right off into the drink!"

Alyca growls in her best impression of a treasure hunting scurvy sea dog before bursting out laughing!

"They're serious too! They sent us a picture of the plank!"

"And yeah. We upgraded our cabin a little. We aren't done yet, though. We're having a hot tub installed later this week and a gigantic tv delivered if you want to stop by and check it out when it is all setup!" :smallbiggrin:

Yuki doesn't take long to get her swimming suit. She heads into the main cabin and quickly changes grabbing a towel before coming back to the lake. "All right I'm all set." She says stepping into the water carefully. It is actually a little hard for her to stand as she floats easily in the water. She looks to be in a better mood then she has been since she got transformed.

As Yuki steps into the water, she might see Salix suddenly look mischievously at her. That's all the warning she gets as the dryad splashes water at her! Apparently she finds this too funny.

Yuki shies back as she is splashed. This throws her off balance and she falls back, basically sitting down hard in the lake with a big splash. She grins back at Salix and then one of her wings dips down into the water and splashes back. She uses her hands to balance herself as she floats.

Salix laughs as she counter splashes. Splash fight are so fun! She does notice how Yuki is floating though, and takes a lull in the fierce combat as an opportunity to ask about it. "Why're you floating like that?"

"My boss is the owner of a private security company in the Nexus. You have to be a little crazy to be successfully running an operation like that here!"

Alyca chuckles, as she slides a generous helping of chocolate ice cream mixed with candy topped with hot fudge and real caramel in a sweet wafer bowl down the counter on a plate to Justin with a metal spoon! She even spread a medium-sized portion of multicolored sprinkles on top! Special sprinkles! Sprinkles containing nanobots that might help speed up his hand's recovery before harmlessly exiting his body!

"Everyone at the yacht party is going to be wearing a costume. The party is pirate and ninja themed, oddly enough, but authentically so. No fake parrots or plastic katanas or you'll be walking the plank right off into the drink!"

Alyca growls in her best impression of a treasure hunting scurvy sea dog before bursting out laughing!

"They're serious too! They sent us a picture of the plank!"

Timmy is quite glad the stream is so shallow here. He follows along with his hands in his pockets taking a second to really enjoy nature. He's actually in woods right now collecting fish, someplace he never thought he'd be.

Yuki offers herself as a somewhat chilly life raft that Salix can grab ahold of if she needs to. Besides the occasional words of encourgement Yuki has little advice to offer on swimming. She stays floating on her back, using her large icy wings to guide herself around in the shallow water.

After a bit of swimming, Salix suddenly grabs hold of Yuki. She winces at how cold she is, but hangs on regardless. "Swimming makes me so tired."

"Probably because you are still new to it. I bet the more you swim the less tired it will make you." Yuki says, though she doesn't say it with much authority. It just sort of makes sense to her since it is like that with her and flying. She slowly moves them back to shallow water where Salix can stand on her own.

"Me and some other kids are doing swimming lessons, but I'm not very good yet." She says as they drift back. For the life of me I can't remember nor find who's supposed to be in charge of teaching the lessons. It's someone, though!

"Well with all your practice I'm sure you'll be a great swimmer in no time." Yuki says with an encourging smile.

"Yeah, I think so. I'm good at climbing and running and other stuff, and I like swimming too. I just don't know how very good." Salixx lets go of Yuki and stands at the bottom herself again. It would be fun to drift with Yuki, but she's so cold!

Yet another downside of being made of snow and ice. It makes you a good deal less cuddly. "It's good that you are practicing, though until you are better you should probably make sure to have someone around with you when you do." Yuki explains.

"Why? I'm okay by myself." Salix says, a little confused. Sure she'd like it if someone else were around, but why limit herself?

"Well we wouldn't want you to get in an accident or get in too deep of water and have any trouble. I suppose you can stay in the shallow water when you are alone, but I'd wait till I was a better swimmer before going into the deeper parts of the lake." Yuki explains gently.

"Hmm..." Well that does kinda make sense, though if she'll remember that later is another matter. "Okay, I can just swim with other people." She agrees.

"Silence?" The Shaman asks quickly, trying to cut through the brewing emotions. "I have an idea. Why don't you and Lily go camping? I have a couple bags and a tent near the back door. Just don't go too far, okay?" Silence, getting the hint, nods readily and tries to grab Lily's hand to run off.

If that's successful, Pathfinder takes a seat on one of his hand-made wooden chairs and gestures for Pansy to do the same. "Pansy, I wouldn't even begin to know how to reverse this. Only the Greater Spirits of my world are powerful enough to do something like that, but here, I'm unfamiliar with anything else that might. I just think that maybe Lily should have a bit of fun before we change her back if possible. We both know how much even changing a little bit means for her."

Lily looks to her mother, who nods. "Yay!" Lily is instantly appeased. She leaps up to hug her mother, and then Pathfinder, and then runs off with Silence into the forest.

Pansy listens, and thinks about it for some time, wringing her hands. Trying to put her anxiety and fears into words.

"If this is unharmful, doesn't keep changing her, and doesn't seem to affect how things really are now, do you think you'll allow her to keep it? I'll reverse it somehow if you ask, but I think you and Brand should consider maybe letting Lily making the choice. She'll always be your daughter, no matter what her ears look like." He adds with a small smile.

...and looks her over appreciatively.

"It's me," Sophie says, her voice now deep and melodious. "And I see you've also been hit by... whatever it was. The result of someone's twisted sense of humour, most likely."

Yep, she's grumpy today.

"They do," Sophie agrees. "It's supposed to wear off eventually, if we go to the infirmary regularly, I think, so we'll just have to bear it until then."
