View Full Version : Summoner Prestige Class(3.5)

Going with Human Wizard 2/Master Specialist 5/ Thaumaturgist 5/ Master Specialist +5, what do I do for those last three levels? Feats are; Spell Focus(conj), Precocious Apprentice, Collegiate Wizard, and finally Arcane Disciple(Summoning domain) to meet prerequisites and to boost my power a bit. Of course currently I am a level 1 Wizard so there will be more feats over the progression. Anyway what to do at this point?

Thaumaturgist? That's for clerics, you don't get Planar Ally. (EDIT: Just saw Arcane Disciple, but why waste stats pumping Wis so you can use that?)

I would drop the Thaum levels and go for Malconvoker instead.

Be sure you're CG so you can get a Ghaele (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/ghaele.htm) as your Planar Cohort at level 12. Otherwise it's probably not worth taking Thaumaturgist over Malconvoker.

You can't really go wrong with Incantatrix, especially if you can get its Iron Will prerequisite via the Otyugh Hole instead of spending a feat on it. Archmage is decent for finishing a build, and Ruathar is also useful.

I have Arcane Disciple, nabbed the Summoning Domain for the use of Planar Ally.

I already got Iron Will from the Otyugh Hole in my backstory haha. Gotta love a willing DM:smallbiggrin:
