The Pilgrim


"You shouldn't worship one god, treat 'em like a buffet and get as many different ones as ya can"

a spontaneous divine caster with great versatility, but oddly limited choices

Adventures: Pilgrims adventure to learn of new gods and bolster their casting abilities

Alignment: pilgrims can be of any alignment

Religion: Pilgrims do not worship any single deity, instead worship divinity as a whole

Races: anyone can become a pilgrim as long as they have the drive to learn of the many deites that may grant them their spells

Other Classes: Pilgrims get along with all classes, but maintain a friendly rivalry with clerics

Role: a pilgrims role in the party depends upon their domain choices

GAME RULE INFORMATION
Pilgrim's have the following game statistics.
Abilities: Pilgrims use wisdom to cast spells, constitution and charisma are also helpful
Alignment: any.
Hit Die: d6
Starting Age: As bard,
Starting Gold: As cleric,

The pilgrim's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (history) (Int), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Religion (the planes) (Int), Proffesion (Wis) and spellcraft (Int)

Class Features
All of the following are class features of the pilgrim.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: pilgrims are proficient with all simple weapons and light armor but not shields.
a pilgrim who choses the war domain may treat any one martial weapon as his deities favored weapon for the purpose of that domain

Spells: A pilgrim casts divine spells (the same type of spells available to clerics), which are drawn from the pilgrims known domains. He can cast any spell he knows ahead without preparing it ahead of time the way a cleric must.
To cast a spell, a pilgrim must have a Wisdom score of 10 + the spell's level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a pilgrim's spell is 10+ the spell's level + the pilgrim's Wisdom modifier
A pilgrim receives bonus spells for high Charisma.
Unlike a cleric, a pilgrim need not prepare his speels in advance. He can cast any spell he knows at any time assuming he has not yet used up her spells per day for that spell level.
Domains: At first level a pilgrim choses four domains from which he can chose his spells from.
at 6th, 12th and 18th levels, a pilgrim may ad one extra domain to his domain choices.

I really love the idea of using domain spells as the spell list! Considering how flexible domains are.
