The Bard, the Oddities, and Chaos

[pyrothos]

Riz disappears then reappears a few seconds later in mid swing, striking the singer down in one swing.
" never could stand the sounds of chaos..."
he wipes the blade on the singer's clothes.

"So it appears we're not finding any information out about that guy, I'm perfectly fine with this."

[pyrothos]

" I know all this fool knows about the song, anything you want to know, i can tell you."
he begins walking again, then stops.
" oh, and do NOT ask me where i got the information..."
with that he continues.

[godzillamegafan]

"I care not about the song, I merely stayed my hand under the assumption that you wanted to know something."

I'll keep walking as well.

you get back to the temple by nightfall, Riz is given a small room outside the main building for the night so he can rest up before his appointment with your superiors in the morning, your presence was requested at the meeting.

Okay during the conference i'll show up.

[pyrothos]

you arrive on time to find Riz hasn't arrived yet.
5 minutes after you arrive, the guys in charge are about to call off the meeting when Riz strides in, pulling his hood and face covering down, drawing some shock from the guys in charge.
Elder Rothellim: " Guards!"
Riz: " I am not the enemy."
Elder Parthenox: " why should we believe a Drow?"
Riz: " Because i came here fully aware of the fact that i'd probably get arrested an executed on the spot just to inform you that the Voice of Chaos is on the move for the first time in over a century..."
as he finishes, a pair of mean looking brutes in the temple's guard uniforms grab Riz and hold him still.

I have no reason to help him so I'll watch.

Elder Kartha strides forward, her heavy armor making no noise as she draws her greatsword and prepares to execute Riz
Riz: " Fine, kill the one person who knows more of the Voice's mind and habits than any other person alive today. But i warn you, when the world falls into chaos and disarray, i will be looking down upon you all and laughing at your foolishness."
Kartha stops and looks towards the other elders
Rothellim: " Release him, but stand ready."
the brutes release Riz and stand back a few steps, Kartha takes her place amongst the elders.
Parthenox: " You aren't kidding about the Voice, are you?"
Riz: " no sir."
Parthenox: " and it was in Darknim Manor?"
Riz: " it was."
Parthenox: " can you attest to this Seig?"

"Is that what that manor is called? All I know about is that it had many gremlins stirges and baboons in it that I dealt with personally, though I was unable to save the person that I went to rescue and that it had a poor singer who magically forced me to dance for 6 offal seconds."

[pyrothos]

Riz: " Gremlins are beings of chaos, the very forces the Voice used to command before the orange eyed knight struck Chaos down in the Stormfall War."

[pyrothos]

Kartha: " I shall begin the war preparations outlined by the knight."
she begins moving towards the door
Parthenox: " no, not yet, i want to know that we can trust what this one tells us. Seig, can you Vouch for this one's trustworthiness, or will i need to call in Verdixim?"

[godzillamegafan]

"You'll need to call in Verdixim, I have no reason to trust him and have been given no evidence that says he's trustworthy since all he's done for me was open a locked door but that merely could have been a ploy to get me to lead him to you here."

[pyrothos]

Riz nods his head as Kartha sends for Verdixim.
a few minutes later, a man in stained blue robes and a very intricate pair of goggles shuffles in carrying a scuffed and scratched box made of a shiny gray wood.
Verdixim: "you called for the services of my device?"
Kartha: "Yes, we did."
She points to Riz
" we have reason to need you to verify this one's trustworthiness regarding the Voice of Chaos."
Verdixim kneels down and drops the box with a metallic clang onto the floor and begins undoing the locks and latches in a well practiced and meticulous manner.
he pulls out a rod and a few oddly shaped pieces and begins putting them together until he finally holds up a scepter topped with a mass of metal in the shape of an oriental dragon.
Verdixim says a few words to the scepter then touches it to Riz's forehead.
as soon as it makes contact, the dragon glows blue and a ghostly image of it flies into Riz's ear.
Riz cries out in pain for a second then the dragon comes out his other ear and flies to Verdixim's outstretched hand where it melts into his skin.
Verdixim: " He speaks the truth about the Voice, you would do well to heed what he says on the matter."

"Now then if this is all we were here for I've got some stuff to go sell." I'll begin to walk off.

[pyrothos]

Kartha: " Seig, please go to the church in Farhaven and deliver this message."
Kartha hurredly writes a message on piece of paper, folds it up, seals it, and hands it to you.
Riz: " I will be going to Farhaven Next, I have friends in the darker parts of town who can get me an information network."
Riz walks out.

I'll take a minute to transform then i'll grab chris's stuff as well as the other stuff that the dead bodies dropped and then I'll head to farhaven.

[pyrothos]

you catch up to Riz looking at something at the side of the road, the area stinks and flies are everywhere.

[godzillamegafan]

"Damn it, why would Kartha send me to such an unrefined place as this." I hurry up.

[pyrothos]

Riz: " stop."
he points to the trees ahead

ahead you notice the trees moving, not uncommon, save for that it's only a few, the rest are still.

I guess i'll check it out.

[pyrothos]

Riz: " stop you fool. The trees are angry."
he picks up a heavy looking woodcutters axe whose handle has been smashed.
on the ground is the dead woodcutter, flies already gathering about the corpse again.
" this isn't the Voice's doing..."

[godzillamegafan]

"Then let's make like a tree and leaf." I'll keep walking towards farhaven.

[pyrothos]

the trees block your path.

[Clockworkmaster]

The DM says to be dramatic...
The humaniod creature walks out from the trees, staying within the forest line. It hardly resembles the elf it once once, now it is a mass of fungus and tangled thorny vines but the ribs are still exposed. It spends a good amount of time just staring before saying in a dried Voice "...Leave, your kind is not welcome here..." It then turns and begins to shamble back into the darkness of the forest canopy.

Riz: " wait! we must pass through the forest, we have to get to Farhaven by nightfall."

[Clockworkmaster]

The creature will pause a second before turning around to point at you. bits of plants fall from it's extended claw.
It lets out a dry hiss "Your kind has hurt this forest, and it harbors a deep rooted anger for your kind." It pauses and surveys the party. "... This forest is forbidden to your kind, until you return that which has been taken." It lets out a hissing exhale.

[pyrothos]

Riz: "what is that crazy plant thing talking about..?"

[Clockworkmaster]

I will reach into a pouch made from dried brown leather, and pull out a single flower petal that has been well preserved and let it go into the wind.
as it floats to the party I will begin to shamble back into the cool darkness of the forest canopy.
The petal is blue at the tip and fades to white near the bottom, it is soft and delicate to the touch.
Dc 10 Knowledge Nature, survival, or DM says so, to know the plant type.

I'll look at him for a moment. "Are you some kind of stalker?"

[pyrothos]

" no, in my line of work, you tend to listen to the whisperings of the people, they can tell you more than any decent informant."

[godzillamegafan]

"I see so your saying that your line of works revolves around girls picking blue flowers?"

[pyrothos]

" you know i've killed better men for less than your accusations right?"

[godzillamegafan]

"That's funny because just yesterday, you watched me kill a man because he watched me fight but since we still need you alive back at base I'll leave things at this, let's go get that flower from the girl you've been stalking."

[pyrothos]

" you know, we could just go around, the news would be a bit late arriving."

[godzillamegafan]

"And risk starting a war between man and nature? No we must make sure that all is well and bring this woman to justice."

[pyrothos]

Riz looks at you as though to say " the hell is wrong with you?" but stays silent as he walks towards the village whistling a tune to himself.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll promptly ignore the looks of a stalker and follow him to the village.

[pyrothos]

after an hour and a half of walking, you two walk into a small community surrounded by farmland. Riz is immediately stopped by a few burly looking men with axes. he waves you on and talks to the men.

[godzillamegafan]

I'm not going anywhere, I don't know where the girl he's stalking lives.

[pyrothos]

after a couple minutes of Riz talking, one of the men yells "Die Bastard!" and swings at riz, who backsteps and then vanishes.
you hear him a few seconds later
" let's get what we came for before my spell wears off."

I'll follow him using my scent ability.

[pyrothos]

as he leads you to a very well kept house at the edge of town, you hear him chuckle " look who's the stalker now."

[godzillamegafan]

"That'd still be you, I'm doing my job and preventing a possible war, also your the one who said and I quote "let's get what we came for before my spell wears off." the fact that you we're unable to hide from my senses is not a problem of my own."

I'll go knock on the door.

a frazzled looking woman opens the door, sees you, screams, then slams the door before you can say anything

I'll knock on the door again as I'd hate to have to smash my way in.

[pyrothos]

before the door is answered, Riz knocks once, dispelling his spell, then says " block the road's view of me please."

[godzillamegafan]

I'll casually stand between him and the road and then comment on how it's amazing that his spell lasted so much longer than the first time he cast it considering the first time, it didn't even last long enough to make it out of a room.

also knocking doesn't dispell invisibility.

knocking does if it's considered an attack, which i did, the same woman slowly opens the door and says
" what do you people want from me?"
Riz: " I understand someone in your family has a sacred lotus in their possession."

"For the sake of the peace between nature and humanity we must have it back, also nice house mam, it's always reassuring that some people care to make sure their belongings are well kept."

[pyrothos]

she looks at it as though thinking " have i lost it?" before answering.
" Y-yes, my daughter picked it when my husband took her with him a year or so ago. A-and thank you uh, sir."

[godzillamegafan]

"I see, may I speak to your daughter, I need to find out what she's done with it."

[pyrothos]

" she's out getting her brother some medicine from Zemma, our local healer and won't be back for a while. Is this about the Ghost of the Wood's disappearance?"

[godzillamegafan]

"Perhaps, tell me more about it."

[pyrothos]

" Until about a year ago, the Ghost would come out at night and help our crops grow. oh gods, i hope that flower wasn't the cause of all our misfortunes."

[godzillamegafan]

"It may be, I'll have to investigate this more thoroughly. May we come in while we wait for your daughter to return?"

[pyrothos]

" you ( she points at Riz) may, but i, umm, i don't know that you would fit."

[godzillamegafan]

I don't have my wings yet topher.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll walk in. "I fit in perfectly as you can see." I'll then go and find a seat.

[pyrothos]

hours pass by uneventfully as she goes on about the local gossip with Riz listening intently and her cooking that nights meal.
finally, a few minutes before she finishes dinner, the girl walks in, a bag in one hand and a walking stick topped with a glass globe holding the lotus in the other hand
she stops, stares at Riz, then screams at you as she runs into the kitchen

I shall stand up and walk into the kitchen. "greetings madam. I am Seig Maorga, I have come here because of the flower you are holding, it is of great importance in preventing a potential war between humanity and nature."

[pyrothos]

She stares at you as Riz walks in,
" i'm prepared to offer 10 gold pieces for the flower young lady, and i assure you, Seig here is quite harmless unless provoked, and that is no easy task."

I'll look her over and make a perception check on her

a little girl ( about 10-12 range) with blond hair, nothing else stands out

Shoot a glance at the Drow and blurt out. "Why the hell have you been stalking a 12 year old girl for the past year!?"

the girls contemplates Riz's offer
" make it 12 and it's yours."
Riz reaches into his coin pouch and pulls out some coins.
" here" he says after counting them out he hands them to the girl whohands him the lotus.

I'll reach into my backpack and pull out chris's old flail and walk over to the girl.

[pyrothos]

Riz turns to you and you can practically feel the glare behind his dark glasses

[godzillamegafan]

Don't care. I'll bend down and hand her the flail. "Here use this to defend against stalkers." I'll turn and blatantly look at Riz. I'll then whisper to her. "And if you have troubles from said stalkers, don't hesitate to call for help."

[pyrothos]

Riz: " come on, let's get going..."
he makes for the door

I'll zip my backpack and then walk outside.

[pyrothos]

it was flat footed and they waited until you two had exited the house

then we would have seen them and wouldn't be flat footed and would also get attacks of opprotunity.

ach! figures you'd screw up teh chance for you to use that line you wanted to use. you also get a look at these guys, they most certainly are not members of this village, which is evident by the black claw shaped tattoo on each of their face's.

" That is the mark of some old associates of mine from before i started hunting the voice. Axem and Veritri, a pair of rogues from Darkwall... what i don't get is why they've left me alone for years and just now are launching attacks against me."
he pauses
" well, not your problem, let's get this flower to the plant man."
he vanishes then heads out

I'll follow after looting the bodies and looking for anything that could be useful.

strapped to one of their belt's is a scroll case that was hastily shut, leaving a little of the paper peeking out.

you can't understand what's written on it though on the back is a rough sketch of Riz's face.

okay i'll now follow the invisible riz because i still have scent.

[pyrothos]

outside town you find that Riz has stopped and waited for you.
" so, anything interesting on those two?"

[godzillamegafan]

"Scroll with a wanted poster of your face."

[pyrothos]

" wow, they've gotten lazy if they're sending people after me... unless it was a message, did you grab that scroll?"

[godzillamegafan]

I'll hand him the scroll.

[pyrothos]

he glances at it, turns it over then laughs
" so it was a message."
he reads it, his face going from amused to angry
" those fools, they don't know what they've started..."
he storms off towards the forest where chris is waiting for the lotus.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll stop him. "Hey, either tell me what the wanted poster says, or pay me a finders fee."

[pyrothos]

" it's a personal matter of no concern to you, unless you like meddling in the affairs of others."

[godzillamegafan]

"I spy on a road for a living... What does that tell you?"

[pyrothos]

he digs in his pouch and pulls out a sparkling silver pendant set with a portrait of a blonde elven woman.
" they have her as a prisoner in darkwall."
he slips past you and continues off, quietly singing to himself a song of death

I follow "Who's she?"

[pyrothos]

" someone i owe a lot to, does this really matter to you?"
he continues his song

[godzillamegafan]

I'll politely drop this conversation so that we can progress with the plot.

[pyrothos]

you guys make it back to the woods without any more delays.

[pyrothos]

waiting at the edge of the woods stands chris, a mass of spores, leaves, vines and gnarled roots in a humanoid shape. his eyes aglow from the magic that raised him from a corpse and plantlife.

[Clockworkmaster]

In his normal Low Dry voice. "I sense the flower." he begins to slowly shamble forward and holds out his hand. "Return it, and all is forgiven."

[pyrothos]

Riz pulls the lotus from the pouch he had stowed it in
" here, now may we pass? I we both have work to do in Farhaven."

[godzillamegafan]

"He's got some girl troubles. Apparently stalking one little girl wasn't enough."

[pyrothos]

* Riz mouths something to himself and hands the flower to chris, then begins walking towards the forest, his head down

[Clockworkmaster]

"The way is open... once more." He will take the flower with his hand and place it into a Leather pouch that is dyed green, It has patterns stitched into it that resemble nature.
"Your kind have traditions of rewards, so I have a gift to show my thanks..."
I will hand each of them a small pouch and begin to shamble into the woods. each bag contains a few dried leaves, a chunk of hard bread, 3 twigs, and some holly.

[pyrothos]

Riz stops.
" Hey "Ghost" keep track of that flower."
Riz continues walking

[godzillamegafan]

I'll do what any sane adventurer would do. "Hey, guy who gave us this quest, want to join us on our adventure?"

[Clockworkmaster]

"I have not left the woods in ages, But it seems it is time to take up root and move..."
The creature stands there for a good five minutes...
"I shall accompany you, for a time being, but first I must return home, to prepare. You may follow if you wish..."
The creature beings to shamble down what seems an invisible path through the underbrush.

[pyrothos]

* Riz stops and looks towards kenny as if to say " well, what now?"

I'll follow chris. now that i realize it's not a swamp.

[pyrothos]

Riz follows a few feet behind, deep in thought

[Clockworkmaster]

It will be a Silent walk, and I will not spark a conversation.
We will walk through Thick underbrush, and have to cross a brook that cuts through the forest. then we will arrive at a small lake, where my hut is.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll climb onto Riz's shoulders when we get to the brook. "Carry me. I don't want my feet wet."

[pyrothos]

after 30 minutes of hard traveling through the sun-dappled woods and the rather cold brook, you reach a quaint hut on the edge of the lake.
the hut appears to be made of fresh grass weaved together rather roughly into the shape of a shelter.
lotus plants of many sizes float lazily on the Lake as a gentle breeze causes the water to ripple to and fro.
next to the hut is a very overgrown farm that is nearly indistinguishable from the surrounding undergrowth, save for the ordered appearance you can just barely make out. wandering among the plants, occasionally plucking a diseased leaf or stalk is a leaf-like creature in a roughly humanoid shape adorned with a single lotus bloom on the side of it's head.

[Clockworkmaster]

I will enter the hut and begin to pack my belongings. I leave the hut being followed by a puffball of floating fungus and a small Treant. I will then ask the Leshy to tend the lands while I am away. finally I will let out a loud whistle and call my bird.

[pyrothos]

Riz Backs away from chris quickly as a large sized Raven with Jet black, shimmering feathers swoops down to land next to chris, it's beak sports a couple scratches and it's eyes are dark with a gold tint to them.
Rizlet's out a long slow whistle in awe.

[Clockworkmaster]

I will pet the bird, "We have a long journey ahead of us, watch from the skies." I will check over everything once more. "I am ready for the journey."
I will start to shamble out of the clearing, and back towards the path that leads to town.

[godzillamegafan]

"Let us reembark on our journey."

[pyrothos]

Riz begins walking back towards the road.

[Clockworkmaster]

I will cast Know direction (I know where north is) (Lv. 0 spell)
"Where is it you are going to, and what direction is it?"

[pyrothos]

" Farhaven, it's to the north."

[godzillamegafan]

after a while I'll ask "are we there yet?"

[Clockworkmaster]

I shall lead the way until it becomes Dusk.

[pyrothos]

after you guys make camp for the day, Riz pulls out a small, black leather book, opens it up to a marked page halfway through and begins reading it.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll sleep my two hours then summon my eidolon.

[pyrothos]

Kenny, you sit around for about 6 hours while at least Riz sleeps ( i'm unsure if chris's character sleeps

I'll wonderwhy I still don't feel any more experienced from fighting those mooks.

so the night passes just fine?

the night passes by without event, after everyone wakes up, Riz studies his spell book before you guys can leave.

can we just skip to the part where we make it to farhaven?

[pyrothos]

timeskip engage! you pass through the wood over the next day ( it rained heavily, soaking through Riz's clothes, watering chris's armor and making everyone miserable being as i'm sure kenny was in eidolon form) by midafternoon you reach Farhaven. timeskip disengage!

I'll climb down off of Riz's shoulders as at no point did I ever mention getting off and give him a pat on his shoulder.

"Good job friend one that ride made the trip most enjoyable."

I'll then head into farhaven to go sell chris's old characters gear and the loot I chose not to mention to Riz.

[Clockworkmaster]

But I am a plant, so why am I miserable?
"I shall wait at the outskirts of town..." I let out a long hissing noise at the end of the sentence.

[pyrothos]

Riz blends into the crowd and loses you guys after a few minutes of wandering around.

[pyrothos]

after you sell your stuff, you hear a couple of the off-duty guards talking about a man with glowing orange eyes.

oh yea perception check to determine what my three potions are.

and if that doesn't work(note that using perception for this does actually work like that for figuring out potions) I'll go find Riz as he can not escape my nose.

And now that I have my gold, I'll do what any reasonable adventurer would do. Spend my wad on frivolous stuff.

after I finish my shopping I'll go deliver that letter I'm supposed to be delivering, now via my new carriage.

you reach the church with only an incident involving a group of children running from a town guard who yelled something along the lines of " come back here with that goat!"
the church is made from white marble polished to the point of reflecting light enough to make it appear to be aglow. above the doorway is the holy symbols of a few different gods and goddesses, some good, some neutral and some evil ( though the evil ones's symbols have long since been marked, faded away, or fallen half off of the wall).
People Are rushing to and fro about the church, except fro a man in white robes and what appears to be a cape made of white, gray and black feathers arranged tastefully into the shape of a broken sword. His face is haggard and worn, his hair starting to turn from a bright fiery red to gray.
he appears to be issuing orders to the others as they rush about.

I'll walk over to him and ask if he knows where the guy i'm supposed to give the letter to is.

[pyrothos]

" you're from the temple to the south?"

[godzillamegafan]

I'll strike a dramatic pose "Why yes, yes I am."

[pyrothos]

he chuckles
" then the message would probably be for me."

[godzillamegafan]

I'll hand the letter to him.

[pyrothos]

he opens it and reads it quickly
" Ahh, how relieving it is to see that Kartha is still one of the Elders of the temple. Now, tell me what you know of the Voice if you please, and i'll need to talk to this Riz person as well."
he moves to invite you inside the church

[godzillamegafan]

I'll follow him inside and then tell him. "What I know about the voice is that it likes terrible music, that it can force people to dance and that it hangs around gremlins."

[pyrothos]

" you didn't see it? it didn't speak to you?"
he leads you to a comfortable, though rather plain room where a man is waiting to serve some strong smelling tea

any drugs in the tea?

[pyrothos]

no drugs in the tea

[godzillamegafan]

I'll drink some while listening to him talk.

[pyrothos]

he goes around the room, picking up a leatherbound book, a pen and ink,
and a 4 inch long shard of clear crystal etched with runes around the edges of the ends.
" now, can you give me a physical description of the Voice?"

[godzillamegafan]

"Well if I had to guess, I'd say he was probably the elegantly dressed man in the center of that house who suddenly flew through the roof and disappeared."

[pyrothos]

immediately after yo say that, a nervous and disheveled looking man pokes his head in.
" uhh, sir, I know you are busy at the moment, but a orange eyed man is asking to speak to you and your guest."

[godzillamegafan]

I'll sniff the air and assume it's Riz.

"Smells like Riz has arrived."

[pyrothos]

first off, Riz has red eyes and would have been referred to as " A Drow"
secondly, you don't smell Riz

[pyrothos]

the guy you've been talking to looks perplexed as he gets up from his chair and walks towards the door.

[godzillamegafan]

"It appears my nose was plugged when I said that, I have no idea who this guy is."

[pyrothos]

the guy in the cape walks out through the church, do you follow him?

[godzillamegafan]

sure I'll follow him.

[pyrothos]

outside the church you find your chauffeur chatting with a man dressed rather plainly. as you guys walk forward, he turns towards you showing you his glowing orange eyes and headband embroidered with an image of two eyes made of flames
" ahh, a pleasure to meet you Father Beliss of the broken sword, and you Seig Maorga, summoner of the Temple of gardens, my name is Fire-Eyes. From what I understand, you two were talking about the Voice of Chaos. I may have need of information you two have, though i would have preferred to speak with Riz."
you notice the heavily engraved scimitar and dagger strapped to his belt, the etching aglow with the same color as his eyes

kenny, you also notice that he has no discernable scent, not even an odorless scent

[godzillamegafan]

"First that's the majestic Seig Maorga, summoner of the temple of gardens. Secondly how about we go and find Riz. Just as soon as you explain how you have absolutely no scent as that shouldn't be physically possible."

[pyrothos]

he smiles and shrugs
" There are a lot of things about me that I can't explain. Might be something to do with being the chosen warrior to fight Chaos."

[godzillamegafan]

"That has nothing to do with anything, in order for you not to have any scent coming from you, their would have to be no oxygen around you either and though you not breathing I could believe it'd still be impossible for their to be no oxygen where you walk.."

[pyrothos]

he thinks for a minute.
" well, i guess that's one ability that your mind can't understand, how bout this."
the smell of cinnamon begins to come from him.

[godzillamegafan]

"I'll just take your word for it, now then let's go find Riz."

[pyrothos]

after a little while you guys find Riz walking out of a seedy looking Tavern called " the black mug" he doesn't seem to notice you guys as he crosses the street.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll get his attention. or go get him.

[pyrothos]

you have to go get him

[godzillamegafan]

Then I'll go get him and drag him back to the church guy who's name is not important enough for me to remember.

[pyrothos]

Riz: " what the hell are you doing Seig? who's the guy in the-" he stops when he notices Fire-Eyes.
" get that thing away from me!"
Riz tries to back up but runs into a man in a wide brimmed hat who drops the box of potatoes he was carrying, which roll out into the street, causing people to trip and a wagon to fishtail into a fruit stall manned by a now very angry woman who pulls out an ordinary kitchen cleaver and looks for the source of the commotion.
Fire-Eyes: " Please Riz, calm down, let's leave the past in the past."
Riz: " no! you tried to kill me, you even tracked me down just to take a couple swings at me!"
they go on for another minute, Fire-Eyes asking Riz to calm down and Riz making a big scene before Father Beliss manages to get them to stop, but only after the woman with the cleaver nearly hit him, Riz, and Fire-Eyes.

"Will you three shut up about your past problems and talk about your current problem, you know the voice of chaos, perhaps it rings a bell?"

[pyrothos]

Riz takes a moment to compose himself
" who's asking for the information?"
both Father Beliss and Fire-Eyes say "me" at the same time

[godzillamegafan]

I'll walk over to the woman with the cleaver and slap her on the wrist. "No, you don't do that."

[pyrothos]

the woman looks at you then yells "GUARDS!!"
Riz sighs, rushes over and says " let's get going, the guards here know exactly who I am and anyone associated with me will receive no warm welcomes from them."
with that he slips through the crowd of people to retrieve the priest and Fire-Eyes

As he runs off I'll tell him to meet me at the church, I'll then casually get back in my chariot and ride off to the church.

[pyrothos]

you see a group of guards rushing towards the place where the cleaver lady is yelling at the top of her lungs. luckily, none can catch you and you easily escape them.
when you arrive at the church, an underling leads you to a room different than the one from before where you find Riz, Fire-Eyes and the priest talking.
Riz: "-and it is known to be rather chaotic in shape and form."
Fire-Eyes: " Ahh, mister Maorga, glad you could make it." he says this with a cheerful smile.

[godzillamegafan]

"How'd you guys beat me here? I was in a horse drawn carriage and not just that the horses have horse shoes that have been enchanted to make them move twice as fast. Your not gonna try and tell me you took enough short cuts to get here not only faster than me but also fast enough that you had time to finish your conversation about the voice of chaos because that doesn't seem physically possible."

[pyrothos]

Riz: " it's not our fault you took the scenic route Seig."

[Clockworkmaster]

I will step out of the shadows.
"The stone does not sing to me here. Why have we come here?"
The creatures jaw hangs open and a faint blue light is shown within. A Treant the size of a man is to my left and a Fungal Puffball is to my right.

[pyrothos]

Riz jumps, the priest has a look of " what the hell is that?"
Fire-Eyes says " hello Ghave."

[Clockworkmaster]

"The name is old, yet rings true. None have spoken it since the traveler passed through my woods, many cycles ago."
I will cast bloom on the ground to grow a flower.

[pyrothos]

Fire-Eyes smiles and picks the flower, then lays it down on the table.

[godzillamegafan]

"So did we get all our information sorted out while I was busy getting my wagon and third horse transported here? Also Ghave, I believe you agreed your name was. Can you drive a horse?"

[Clockworkmaster]

"I can, but I have not done so for many moons."
Trying to think of good plant jokes and what not...

[pyrothos]

the priest finishes writing something down and says " all done, i will prepare the guards. are you going to return to the temple of gardens or were you planning on accompanying Riz to Darkwall?"

[godzillamegafan]

"I'm headed back to the temple and I invite Ghave to come along should he so choose."

[Clockworkmaster]

"I wish to see this garden."

[pyrothos]

Riz: " then this is where we part ways, good luck in your ventures."
with that, the not so enigmatic Riz bows and takes his leave of you two

so I assume(note i'm not talking in character) that the note was for me?

[pyrothos]

the priest closes the book and pushes it off to the side. " would you mind telling Elder Kartha that I would very much appreciate her assistance with preparing the guardsmen here in farhaven?"
Fire-Eyes yawns then says : " well, I must rest, i bid you all good day."
as a note it's getting close to evening now.

[Clockworkmaster]

"Sleep is not an issue for me, I say we leaf now."
Oh ya, I still got it.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll enter my carriage after pointing chris to the wagon. "be sure to follow me in that. Fransisco be sure to maintain a speed he can follow.

[Clockworkmaster]

I will keep the speed low and not do anything that would require a skill check.

[pyrothos]

about halfway through the night you both hear a tremendous explosion from the direction of the temple.

[godzillamegafan]

"Fransisco set course for Azem."

[pyrothos]

he adjusts the carriages course and you roll into the small village just after dawn. everything is peaceful as the first of teh villagers sleepily begin their days.

[Clockworkmaster]

I shall cover up in a heavy cloak

[godzillamegafan]

I'll give him directions to that one girls house.

[pyrothos]

you reach the girl's house. her mother is outside hanging up freshly cleaned laundry.

[godzillamegafan]

I'll step out of the carriage after it comes to a halt. "Greetings madam, it appears we meet again. Tell me is your daughter home?"

[pyrothos]

she stares at you for a moment before calling the girl outside.

[godzillamegafan]

"Ah hello young lady, I have come with an offer to make you plenty richer should you be interested in hearing it but first, how is that flail I gave you treating you?"

[pyrothos]

she says " fine." then proceeds to pull it out of her bag and hold it at the ready ( wrong i might add)

[godzillamegafan]

"Good to see, though I'm pretty sure that's not how you hold a flail. Anyway how would you like to make 100 times the average commoner does per year?"

[pyrothos]

she asks " how?"

[godzillamegafan]

"Put simply I seek a servant, somebody to work for me and since I'm certain it'd annoy my companion from last time, I'm willing to hire you for that position."

[pyrothos]

she considers the offer for a bit. " no thanks."

[godzillamegafan]

"You do realize just how much money that is right?"

[pyrothos]

"yep" she smiles and walks off down the road towards the center of town, humming to herself.

[godzillamegafan]

"Oh well, Fransisco let us go I have need to gather some goods from this town."

[pyrothos]

well, what supplies are you planning to get kenny?

[godzillamegafan]

I'll swiftly change my mind about buying supplies and we'll just head back to the temple.

[pyrothos]

when you reach the crossroads you find Elder Kartha and about 5 dozen heavily armored men and women marching towards the temple with their weapons drawn.

[godzillamegafan]

"What's with the military set up, did something happen while I was gone?"

[pyrothos]

Kartha: " oh thank the gods, you are all right. the temple was attacked, the other elders were killed before the attackers brought the building down around everyone."
you can tell now that more than a few of the armored people are injured slightly.
