Flanking the Kickstarter campaign of the survival horror video game U55 – END OF THE LINE (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/u55/u55-end-of-the-line?ref=live#), Cthulhus Ruf (cthulhus-ruf.de) (the german CoC-magazine) joins forces with Effective Evolutions (www.u55.eu) for the Call of Cthulhu Adventure Contest – UNDERGROUND. We are looking for fresh ideas, bold plots and, of course, claustrophobic horror!
This is how you can enter:
Send us a complete, original and previously undisclosed roleplaying adventure for Call of Cthulhu (BRP) focusing on the theme „UNDERGROUND“.
- Length: 45.000-90.000 characters (including spaces)
- Language: German or English
- Setting: Your choice! Cthulhu NOW! / 2010s is preferred, but not mandatory
Send your entries as an unformatted RTF document to: [email protected]
Deadline: all entries must be received by January 31, 2014.
Don’t forget to include your name and your contact address.
Prizes
A jury will evaluate all entries and select the prize winners based on originality and creativity. The three best adventures will be published by Cthulhus Ruf. Naturally, the winners will receive a specimen copy.
1st place: a Gift Certificate for Drivethru RPG (rpg.drivethrustuff.com) worth 150 $.
A story element from the adventure (or even the author himself!) will be built into the U55 – END OF THE LINE video game as agreed upon with the winner.
2nd place: a Gift Certificate for Drivethru RPG (rpg.drivethrustuff.com) worth 100 $.
3rd place: a Gift Certificate for Drivethru RPG (rpg.drivethrustuff.com) worth 50 $.
Publication
The three top-seeded entries will be translated into German and English, respectively. Thus, every adventure will be available in two languages.
German: The adventures’ German version will be published and printed in a collected volume of Cthulhus Ruf.
English: The adventures’ English version will be released as a PDF for the time being. A printed publication will depend on a possible cooperation of an international partner.
A publication of unplaced entries of good quality should not be ruled out.
