My DM issued his players a challenge several months ago. When he finishes his current campaign he's allowing us to play 16-17th level characters. In response to this challenge I decided to get a little creative, and put together a horrible creation best described as a d20 Iron Man. The guide to the process is here for anyone curious as to what I think is the most effective way to build a Mark II suit using the core rules of the game.

Me, I'd go with a Summoner, the Synthesist subtype (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/summoner/archetypes/paizo---summoner-archetypes/synthesist).

Aegis. The class that is designed so that it's very hard when reading it not to start saying "I'm Stony Tark.." to yourself. For blasting, go Metaforge with Soulknife ranged attacker, or wait a bit - PsiUn is working on improving the blasting ability of the Aegis some.

Heh, I did this in an Iron Kingdoms campaign once. Went from Level 3 to 18 constantly trying to perfect the armor. It started out as a steampunk monstrosity like his mark 1, and ended as a beautifully enchanted mark II. It didn't pack a punch like in the movies and for high CR encounters. But for like CR 10 and under I was a god!

Btw, this concept is very, VERY hard to do in Iron Kingdoms lol

If your DM allows homebrew, and likes the concept, then http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176276 that should fit your concept nicely.

I got a ruling to allow me to wear Armor (without the armor bonus) while bound to my Eidolon as a Sythesist. I made Construct Armor out of an Elder Eidolon (Lords of Madness. It's made out of madness, it's impossible geometry gives it an AC bonus, heals itself, and it makes other people go crazy.) and spent the whole time being creative with conjurations.

The name we settled on was "Antonio Estarko."
